The most impressive aspect in my opinion, is how well this K&M PC game ported so well over to the PlayStation 4 and its Dualshock 4 controller. I'm a big time fan of stealth games, so seeing Klei take the winning formula that's been damn near perfected by the XCOM franchise, and slap a heavy coat of sci-fi, stealth-based gameplay over it is fantastic. Really really enjoying this game.
Looks like the framerate went wrong...like waaaaaay wrong! That stinks, was actually semi-interested in this. Hopefully it can be patched up.
I'm not sure how I feel about upgraded PS4's and Xbox One's, but I do like hearing more and more about the NX, and how it will be more on par with those other two consoles. I want to see Zelda, Mario, and Metroid (Federation Farce doesn't count) that see my favorite childhood characters back in the spotlight where they deserve to be, on hardware they deserve to be on. Nintendo has an exquisite opportunity here to put Nintendo back on the map and firmly entrenched in the hearts...
I was one of many who tried to play this as a standard third-person shooter at first, and immediately thought to myself "geez, this game kind of sucks", but after reading suggestions from others on how I SHOULD be playing it, I decided to give it another go, and I absolutely loved it! The combat is an absolute blast, and the time manipulation powers are highly effective if you use them together. Really enjoyed the story as well, I was worried the TV shows quality would be on the sam...
Wouldn't it be sweet to see Kratos went toe-to-toe with Thor and Loki? I just hope this new Kratos isn't as pissed off. I can't stand how he is always yelling all the time. Can we get a character that has some emotional range and isn't always roided at all times? He can still rip people limb from limb, but does he really need to be enraged when he's talking to some lowly NPC?
September 30th, my I will be crawling into a bunker and I won't emerge until mid-2017 at the earliest. I've been waiting for this game for a very long time, and after seeing all the gameplay videos and getting some time in with the Platinum Demo, my body is most certainly ready for Final Fantasy to take over my life once again!
I wish I could play first person shooters (I get motion sickness easily), because this looks absolutely insane, which is to be expected of a Doom game I suppose. With how fast it runs, that smooth framerate makes it visually striking. Now if you excuse me, I'm going to throw up from watching 40 seconds worth of this video!
It's amazing how going from 30fps to 60fps can give some of these older games a really fresh look. I never played RE6 simply because I heard it was more action-oriented than RE5 which I didn't care for either. I hope some day we see a RE7 and it takes the series back to its roots.
Doesn't it though? That Uncovered event has made it all but impossible not to think about Final Fantasy XV. The combat system looks amazing. I can't wait for September 30th!
I'm still pissed about that fake NX Controller...not because it's fake (that thing was hideous), but because it was so damn convincing! It blows me away how people can make something up like that and it appears so legit.
Then again, I guess that's what happens when you believe everything you see on the internet.
RE PSVR: I appreciate the affordable price of $399...the $499 bundle is a good deal as well...but sadly, I won't be able to partake in the VR festivities due to the fact that I can't play certain games without falling to motion sickness. Can't wait to hear what others have to say though!
RE PS4.5: If upgrading my console is a simplified experience compared to the headache that is upgrading a PC, I think it would be a very interesting (and more appealing) way for P...
I'm so excited for this games release. I spent so much time playing this and Maniac Mansion as a kid, and I look forward to experiencing those same feelings all over again. Nostalgia at its finest. Thank you Double Fine Productions for revisiting games like this and Grim Fandango.
I've been waiting for this game since it was originally announced and I'm so happy it met my high (almost unfair) expectations. It's brutal, it's frustrating, and I can't stop playing it. I'm a competitive person, but I love a spirited challenge and this game delivers that and more. Do yourself a favor, if you prefer your games to be hard as hell, look no further than Salt and Sanctuary.
Looks like a unique take on the stealth genre, and the whole hacker/cyber-punk vibe is pretty appealing to me. I know this game was pretty popular on mobile devices, interested to see if the developer took advantage of the hardware when porting it over.
I was pretty crushed by the canceling of Fable Legends and the closure of Lionhead Studios. Although I never got into the Legends beta, I have fond memories of time spent in the first three Fable games. You could do just about anything an be anyone you wanted in those games and I admired how ambitious they were. I had heard Fable Legends was somewhat of a departure from previous entries, but I was still hoping it would turn out to be a pretty fun game. It sounds like Lionhead Studios endured ...
I think the Xbox brand will be just fine. While their shift in focus to include Windows 10 may be alarming to some, I'm still pretty confident there are a lot of consumers out there who prefer the simplicity of buying a console as opposed to shelling out for a PC with multiple components to update over time. Yes, I'm well aware that I can get a PC gaming rig on par with the Xbox One specs for relatively cheap, but why would I get that if my friends are on Xbox One? Also, why would any...
Brodock Saints, Brobocop, Indiana Brones?! There are so many characters that are based on some of the most epic action characters of the 80's and 90's I don't even know what to do with myself. I love how each character has a different type of weapon, some easy to wield, some are not. You really have to consider where you're shooting some of the more powerful weapons because one shot can cause an explosive chain reaction that can alter the landscape considerably and put a teamm...
Having played both the PC and PS4 versions of the game, I can definitely say the PC version is the way to go, even though that does have some minor issues as well. The framerate on the PS4 version is highly inconsistent. If you're a horror fan that likes to be sucked into an experience, Layers of Fear has the subject matter to do so, but the technical issues break that immersion way too often. I really hope Bloober Team is able to address this on consoles, because it would be a real shame...
This game was much more expansive than I expected it to be before watching this. There appear to be some very well thought out puzzles that'll definitely make your stop and think. I think it's funny when games feature a cute, beautiful art style, only to come back and punch you in the mouth with some unexpected difficulty. This looks really cool; I might have to pick this up while it's on sale this week!
I've heard from many people that Gears of War multiplayer is an extremely difficult to jump in an play. I respect and loathe that at the same time, simply because the campaign is always a good time.
