Yes! You are correct.

This is Chapter 2 on the boat. So it's before he learned from the four kung-fu masters in Hong Kong. Suzuki-san wants to complete the story, so he included the second chapter that was missed from the Shenmue 2.

Switch uses 12 watts. That's in total for CPU and GPU, and on battery. And it's running one of the most demanding titles of this gen. There's really nothing like it on the market.

With PS5 enhancements (this being fairly recent PS4 game) this might just top Uncharted 4.

@mkis007

That's actually true and I've never thought about it like that. On PC you always have to make sure the game works on HDD (and SSD), but this time the SSD as you mentioned is the baseline. There must be interesting applications for it that we've never thought about before. I wonder if there will be a cutoff at some point on PC games where an SSD is a minimum requirement to run a game.

I kind of thought earlier that they'd put a lot...

@ButtAnihilator

Yes they do. You can buy PCI 4.0 Motherboard and up to 5000MB/s read & write NVME m.2 today from almost any normal PC retailer. Just add Ryzen 3000-series in the mix and you are good to go.

The reality is, however, there are diminished gains for this due to the operating system design and game design etc. However, the PCI 4.0 will mature fast on PC, and by 2020 November when PS5 is launched, a lot of this technology will be taken adva...

I think there will be one or two exclusives for PS5 during launch window to showcase the power and new capabilities. They will probably be shorter experiences. Cross-gen games might have their PS5 versions shown as well with ray tracing, native 4K and better visuals etc. Especially for people upgrading from base PS4, there's a lot to like here. Not so much for PS4 Pro owners, unless there's a PS5 Pro from the start.

@IamTylerDurden1

You are correct in regards to the visuals when it comes to exclusives only. I'm convinced the latest Intel chip + latest 7nm Nvidia Ampere flagship card will beat PS5 in 3rd party games by a large margin in 2020 November. You are also correct about the bang for buck, but you need to take into consideration 1) power consumption, 2) heat and 3) noise. PS4 and PS4 Pro, Xbox One were all really noisy, overheating after a year or so in use, and overall had c...

Yeah, there's not going to be a 2ghz mode for console GPUs.

Realistically, looks like PS5 will be somewhere around Ryzen 3700X + 5700XT + SSD + 16gt memory shared GDDR6. So it's a mid-range PC in 2020 November with low level optimizations. Should result in really good looking games, sure. Price point probably $499, with a $125 or so loss for Sony until they figure out how to make it cheaper. I suspect PS5 to be noisy and running hot in around PS4P sized box. Realis...

I never ever had any trouble from the Steam/GoG early days and PS3 PSN store until today to Switch / 3DS stores, and PS4 stores. Always could download and install the game faster than going to the store and install from disc, the digital games never deteriorate, they do not tarnish the environment with the plastic packaging and paper booklets, there are no shipping / manufacturing costs and the systems I use them stay slightly more quiet because there's no physical part moving such as a b...

I get what you (traumadistaster and rainslacker) are saying! For me, it's the fan noise mainly and the overall bad build quality of new consoles that stresses me out. I really don't like playing RDR2 on PS4P, even after cleaning it, due to the fan noise. I've got mid-end hifi setup and I've designed my gaming around it playing at low volumes. Secondly, as I don't have time to play much anymore, I find it unreasonable to buy expensive games at release. My schedule is not de...

Yes! I'm starting to think like this the older I get. I have less time to game, and I'm thinking of not actually buying a PS5 immediately just because it's the next best thing. If I was in my early 20s or 30s, I'd probably consider getting it at launch. However, if there is a PS5 Pro at launch and it does 4K native on PS4 games, and it is extremely quiet, I might get tempted. It's strange but for me nowadays the noise levels, heat and power draw are bigger than the smoothe...

Everyone has time, it's just about priorities. There's 24 hours in a day, you sleep 7, work 11, commute 1 and do your sports and routines in 2 and have 3 left for your hobbies and relaxing. Plus weekends and holidays. It's just about how you schedule stuff and where you choose to spend that time.

They have better pacing, and higher quality moments crammed into shorter time scope compared to a 50 hour game which has less quality moments and more of the mundane. We pay the same for 1h15 minute movies and 3h30 minute movies. Some people don't want to watch long movies, some prefer to do just so. Gaming is the very same.

It'll be like playing on Intel HD integrated graphics vs. the latest higher mid-tier graphics card and cpu.

Going entirely sideways here: I love that line from the movie, but I also loved Maya's lines about wine. It was just so beautiful how she explained her passion. I have similar stuff going on with my wife.

I tried to search if it is actually Bukowski as Miles says he "thinks" it is, but it seems to be an original line from the movie after all.

You can stream from any device to a device you use in bed. Just use PS Vita, laptop, tablet or even a large mobile phone and Dualshock 4 and you are good to go. My wife streams from PS4 Pro to her Macbook all the time because I want to use the big screen. Works great with RPGs with only some action.

The fact that Doom Eternal is coming to Switch is mind-blowing. Not Doom 3.
