Well, it was originally supposed to launch in September. Now it’s December so it is actually 3 months extra time to polish the game. These smaller delays are part of a larger one.
I do really wonder what this can do better than Grim Dawn or Path of Exile. Particularly the former is something I think is better than Diablo 2 or on par.
This time it's spectacular, but not gorgeous? Easy to spot it's twinfinite article with the limited vocabulary and hype.
Oh wow they used liquide metal. This thing will be quiet and cool for a long time. Impressed!
Games like this and Xcom are why I bought a PC. Could not imagine to try out Original Sin 2 on Playstation. Xcom 2 was somewhat manageable, though, but the visuals/performance and lack of official mods and stuff just made it inferior. I'm buying games again on PC to experience these masterpieces at their best! Stuff like FFIX AI projects also keep me on PC, but I'll still support Switch and PS5 because of the must have exclusives.
If you are after picture quality, hdmi 2.1 won't make any difference. The only thing it enables is 4K 120hz / 8K 60hz if the panel supports it, and a few other features that are rarely used. If you are aiming at 4K 60 fps in games, then you are fine with your tv for the next 8 years. 4K 120hz is not going to be a standard anytime soon due to the adoption rate, it's a gimmick for 99% people out there, and a marketing stunt. It does look amazing, sure, but only the highest end gamers on...
I am personally upset because it is downright confusing. I’ve been playing 35 years with O as the accept and X as the cancel. They better have an option for Japanese players. This will affect their sales slightly as well, and there will be an outrage in Japan about this.
I dunno, the Japanese influencers who just tested the PS5 all said the controller is fantastic and totally innovative.
They don't need cash for that, they can buy them by giving them shares mostly, or get a loan if they need the cash.
Here’s a new process... to kill other processes!
While I'm all for workers rights and always dislike crunch because it could be avoided by using more money to hire more workers, I also understand that this is a business. And I would not force my subordinates to work on Satursdays either. But the reality is that it's hard to work from home and be equally motivated, WFH doesn't automatically improve productivity, and in fact for some industries it can be quite a catastrophe.
I also know that in life, and busines...
And to be honest, they should not even aim at native 4K. Upscaling is so sophisticated nowadays that nobody will notice the difference if you upscale from 2880x1620p (3K) to 4K, and this has around 43.75% less pixels to crunch than 4K. So you get a very, very nice performance boost. I don't like Dynamic resolution myself, because of the muddiness certain action scenes look like, but I am fine with 3K to 4K upscaling and a locked 60fps with less than 4K native image quality. As long as it&...
Nobody normal non hc gamer here in Japan knows about the Xbox, except some old school diehard Dreamcast fans living in the past. There’s no real value proposition for Xbox in Japan, everything is PS5 and Switch. And actually, most of the stuff is mobile.
me five.
To me From Software's visuals and art style has been one of the most attractive features they had in their games since King's Field. Their unique visual style is absolutely what draws me into their worlds. Their artists and graphics designers are some of the best and most creative in the business.
Yeah I think the difference is turning shadow detail from Ultra to High, or from High to Medium between Xbox Series X and PS5. If the SSD and IO troughput is used better on PS5, then it's the same or better FPS / details for PS5. But regardless, the Digital Edition PS5 offers the best performance for buck for 4K TV owners by a large margin.
@Fishy Fingers
FE does look fantastic, doesn't it! Have you got a vertical mount and a glass door on your case?
I'm quite careful with the GPU purchases. I took a look at the RX 5700 XT reference model vs Nitro+ thermals and noise levels, and they were a full generation apart from each other. I think it was around 22 degrees and 15db less for the Nitro+. Once you apply new thermal paste and undervolt the card, OC both the memory and core, and then...
The way I read this: 69% of the households in the US do not own a 4K TV. And out of those 31% who do, probably 99% do not have a HDMI2.1 support. Sony is correct when roughly only 0.3% of the total TV owners have hdmi2.1 support, not to focus on it.
Doesn't work like that. They have different quality Silicon, different chip and capacitator arrangements on the PCB. Plus the cooling solution materials and design vary, resulting into hotter and louder cards. So you have to be very careful what and from who you buy if you want to OC the card, keep it quiet, stable and cool. This is not too far from rocket science, every small change matters.
This video was really interesting! But the 7% performance hit is a bit too much. Good to have overhead with 6900xt then!
