Yup, same here. I work 55hrs a week, and I'm not really complaining. Sometimes 60hrs. I have enough time over the weekends and paid holidays, plus a good healthcare and a sufficient compensation package.
Exactly. They needed to fund the large project. The GaaS revenue is not enough, there's a good article about it at Gamesindustry.biz.
CD Projekt didn't handle the pressure at the top and it trickled down to the employees. The game needed another 9-12months in the oven, now they have a product they created for years and ended up far from the original vision due to hurrying it up for release. I suspect they needed to recognize the revenue for 2020 to keep the stock pr...
Going to be skipping PS5 and waiting for an upgrade to PS5 Pro from PS4 Pro. Meanwhile my shiny RTX3080 TUF keeps me happy for 3 years. I'll dig through all the late PS4 and early PS5 era exclusives with PS5 Pro at 120hz 4K once it's out. Maybe I'll upgrade to RTX5080ti while at it!
Hey I know this! It’s slower and has less good games. Invest in us!
@Babadook7
Incorrect. 5700xt @2000mhz and memory OC performs on par with RTX2080 and RTX2080ti in Valhalla and Odyssey, depending on the resolution it trades blows with either of those cards. This game that is favoured by AMD GPUs, and that is the reason RTX2080 is the comparison here due to the resolution scaling, and in 1440p purely yes, according to benchmarks it does briefly perform on par with RTX2080ti, but the resolution does not stay long at 1440p and scales up to 1...
I would presume they won't be remaking anything else than SIE Japan Studio published exclusives as they have done so far. Something that is not on PC or have not been remade before. So far they have only touched PS2toPS4 and PS3toPS5 projects, and it would make sense to do a PS3toPS5 exclusive next as well instead of PS4 games.
Because they always need to build on the original code, just like with Shadow of the Colossus and Demon's Souls, I don't think they can ...
Oh wow, they've got a multibillion dollar company CEO there now. That is an achievement. Lisa was chosen to be the best CEO recently, she knows her stuff. Cool to see how Game Awards have grown.
You are absolutely correct. This is one title, and 5700xt matches the PS5 performance here, especially in OC. Interestingly the teraflops match as well, as PS5 won't be constantly at 10flops and 5700xt hits that 9.75flops all the time, or more if OC'd.
PS5 is around 5700xt @ 2000mhz in this game. Same as AC:Odyssey, AMD performs better due to the console centric optimizations. Here 5700xt OC performs on par with RTX2080 as well, so that matches Alex's GPU comparison.
That's exactly how people should answer here, with facts based on various studies to first of all define what we are talking about. How refreshing to see that at N4G!
I think normal apartment room ambient noise in a city is around 25db-35db with spikes to up to 70db in a relatively normal neighbourhood. In suburbs or countryside the spikes might be lower, depends on the country/city/culture.
I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to silent electronics. I've modified my PC and all of the consoles I have, making sure my amp, TV or any of these parts make absolutely zero high frequency noise, including coil whine or fan etc. To me, 35db is the limit I can take. Any more than that, I start listening to the noise when I game, watch a movie, or especially when I listen to an album thro my high-end hifi set.
So you just steal stuff when you can't afford it.
The "I committed a crime" section is the third door to the left down the hallway.
It absolutely is not that easy. Why?
1. Other games in GaaS: They've got massive shareholder pressure to go the GaaS route. Shareholders are looking at stuff like Fortnite, Apex, Destiny and CoD franchises and want their invested company to get a pie of that.
2. Tough KPIs: All games nowadays are not ready at launch due to shareholder pressures. Public company execs need to meet the board's KPIs and squeeze everything into the quarter every single time.

Front Mission 5 is amazing as well! Got the original PS2 Japanese version, playing it with PS3 Phat. The story is hard to understand if you haven't played every other game in the series, which is kind of making me think that maybe I should collect them all from 1-4 as well. Played 3 a lot, was super good. Story is great as well.
I still have a backlog from Japan-only released PSX games. Just bought Tear Ring Saga and Policenauts PSX games yesterday. Cost me 12 bucks!
Plus PS2 games like Valkyrie Profile 2 and Shadow Hearts 3. PS3 Nier Replicant. Ohh and PS4/Switch has like 7 games to finish and on Steam another 7.
Maybe I won’t buy that 6800xt and PS5 after all... Or Cyberpunk!
Interesting to see how people speculate without understanding anything about technology. It’s wishful thinking that Switch Pro will have anything but a 4K _capable_ device. Technology is not there yet to have a 1080p portable / 4K docked Nintendo console where games would run natively 60fps which is what Nintendo wants from performance, not image quality, point of view. If it’s a DLSS capable 1080p portable, 1440p docked device, and even that’s a stretch, it would not come out in 2021, but in...
Buy 6800xt and set resolution scale to 90%, upscale to 4K and set optimized high/ultra settings and you’ll get 60fps and notice zero difference in the image quality vs native 4K ultra. But it’s a noticeable upgrade to consoles, including both performance and image quality.
This is a CPU test, nothing more.
There's tons of free footage of games out there that will help you with the purchase decision. If you go wrong even after that, you earned that digital purchase cost. Also, in Europe, you can sell your digitally purchased games.
