The world has gone backwards. Next thing you'll tell me Activision are going to stop sacrificing children on Thursdays.
It runs at 30-60 fps at 1080p on a legacy GPU, and a 980TI 'is fine'. That's not much of an analysis.
Sounds like it is not a complete shit-show, which is good.
Maybe if you have one of those dodgy Seiki $300 UHD TVs. Nothing from the likes of Samsung/LG/Sony/Panasonic etc sports upscaling that basic.
That's odd. The promotional email I have from Sony says it does.
They should edit out the rest of the article while they're at it, it's tosh.
Oh well, better luck next year ;)
Not an unfamiliar problem though. The managed to push 1080p and Blu-ray through similar challenges.
There are no bad 4k blu-ray players on the market afaik.
@thegamefox I was simply participating in the discussion, and I expressed my own preference. I don't claim to represent PC gamers, console gamers, or any other group.
@utalkintome If options are so great, why stop at such basic presets? I'd like the option to disable motion blur, depth of field, and film grain. I'd like the options to really tweak my performance and preferences. That's one of the reasons I am primarily a PC gamer. I like options.
"Do you want to lower your resolution or your framerate?" isn't a good set of options though, as like I say, I don't really enjoy making compromises. I'd consi...
I'm primarily a PC gamer so I'm no stranger to settings, but I think I'd prefer not to be given the option on console games. I don't really like making compromises.
It's OK while devs are figuring out what works and what people want, but longer term I'd rather just pop a game in and play it the way the devs intend. That's one of the best things consoles hold over PC gaming.
Blame Activision for me being bad? Done and done. Thanks for the council!
I may not be clever, but I'm fairly certain I'm not angry either. I don't actually think you suck, or that you are a scuk (if that's a thing).
Did you intend to directly imply that the PS4 is an incompetent and unworthy successor to the PS3? I'm surprised at the ratio of agree votes you got for saying that.
You scuk*
* that one was a typo
Balls. I just bought the game with the express intention of being ranked somewhere in the top 10, but if there are more than 10 people playing the game that pretty much rules me out of contention.
Or great to not hear, as it were.
COD probably sold about 4 copies on the Windows store. It doesn't even support cross-buy with the Xbox version or cross-play with Steam, there are no compelling reasons to buy the Windows store version.
It's good for MS that Activision are at least willing to test the waters though.
They haven't given up on Windows Phone. They're just going to leverage the more successful Surface branding in an attempt to gain some traction.
I really don't think HTC or anyone else in that VR sector are targetting mass acceptance at this stage. Eventually yes, but there are a lot of obstacles they need to overcome first and price is just one of them.
That's where the "saving" comes into question. The lack of UHD playback may have saved me a few bob on the price of a Pro, which is great on paper. However, it cost me £220 on an Xbox One S that I didn't otherwise want, so it's not worked favourably for me. Boo hoo.
OK I'm over it.
