I doubt the devs at Naughty Dog would have any qualms at all giving Epic and BlackTusk credit or citing them as an influence. Just as I'm sure BlackTusk, Epic, and numerous other studios would credit Naughty Dog and Uncharted as influential.
It's just the rabbid lunatics round these parts that think that is some kind of blasphemy.
I clicked disagree because peer pressure made me. Sorry.
@deadpooled Yes. Why? What are are you trying to get at?
Both, and more. It's a big animal.
By the exclusivity?
As a meat eater it brings me so much sadness that I will never get to taste it's flesh.
True gamers convince themselves that they love certain games without ever playing them or even checking any reviews. Got ya.
Where I come from we call those idiots. But hey, tomato tomato.
Funny, but also one of the best demos of VR I've come across.
Hopefully none.
If you have a good PC and Microsoft publish their games for PC, why would you perceive that as a negative? That consumer-friendly publishing strategy is saving you hundreds of dollars.
Unless of course you still want the Xbox console for the convenience or whatever, in which case there is still nothing to complain about...
Day 1. Cos... er.... I love Skydiving.
Maybe they saw how many millions of units COD sells and thought that by releasing a game that is similar to COD but fresher and better, the "smart consumers" (that gamers like to think they are) would buy the better game.
BF has always gone up int he same window as COD and never made a dent, but rather carved it's own smaller audience. Titanfall is a more direct attempt at COD's audience, and without the benefit of hindsight a direct attempt might have so...
You gotta credit EA for providing the funding to keep the studio together and enable them to make the Titanfall games. While allowing them to keep the IP, no less.
EA take too much flack for this.
Eh? I can output 1080p or 4K to my Samsung monitor no problem. Not sure I've ever heard of a 4k monitor that won't handle a 1080p input...

^^ I'd definitely drop $500 on a console like that
Pipe down UltraNova, us "high-end consumers" are trying to listen :p
Still worthwhile gains imo. Load screens just eat in to precious precious game time.
But then I don't need the capacity. I typically play through one or two games at a time, and my connection is decent enough that managing limited space isn't a big deal.
If the stats said something like 95-100% went for the Pro I'd see your point.
Considering the Pro just launched, I'd say these numbers really prove the value of the base model. 30% of a big number is still quite a big number.
@Mikeslemonade surely the stats here prove that there is still strong demand for the base PS4. They've moved a significant number of base/slim units. Why should they take away the option when people clearly want it?
Go for the new receiver then for sure. I'm using the Integral as a crutch for the Xbox One S for films and such and it works, which is good enough for now as there are tonnes of other things to spend on!
I'm holding off on the Pro until I get confirmation that you can still disable HDCP in the settings and just use it as a gaming machine (as per HDCP1.4 settings on PS3/4). Likewise PC gaming is fine with no HDCP. I don't need more than one of them to play movie...
The Rift can play pretty much anything on Steam. Steam even supports the Touch controllers. Valve are the good guys.
This game looks awful though. If I want to throw a basketball I'll step outside and throw a basketball.
