Problem: Some people do not have time to invest in my game
Solution: Those people can pay more than everyone else.
Sounds fair and ethical. I can think of no better alternative.
Uh huh, and perhaps let you record some basic mo-cap taunts and emotes.
That is the kind of thing I want to see from Kinect, and sunset overdrive in particular would be so well suited to it just because it would be fun to scan yourself into that visual style.
Which isn't to say that I think they are going to do it.
Their other project (Titan) will probably hit consoles though.
That just isn't true. For WoW to work on consoles they would need to rework the targetting (major), rework any placed AoE spells (minor), rework the one-speed-fits-all keyboard turning (minor), and completely reconsider the chat and social interfaces (major), and rework healing (major).
Control pads are not short of buttons, particularly when you use triggers as modifiers.
It is all very achievable.
There is nothing experimental about upping the player count. There were numerous examples this gen and last gen of games with higher player counts.
As with Titanfall, it really is a design decision. Personally I much prefer my twitch shooters to have less players.
If you want all-out large scale warfare then give Planetside 2 a go when it comes out, or Battlefield 4 for something in between.
I like it when the monthly update rolls out. It usually means the next preview update will be ready to download within a few days, and each one seems to bring a little something tasty.
@Naga, that isn't entirely true. The only thing that stops game prices going up is that consumers will not bite.
DLC and other post-sale revenue is becoming necessary to sustain game development because of the silly budgets behind games, but if EA and Activision could get away with it we would definitely get increases game prices AND DLC and micro-transactions. It isn't a case of one or the other.
Disagree! You insult the intelligence of us gamers!
Everyone knows DRM stands for... Draconian... Rampaging ... Microsoft.
You certainly picked a suitable profile picture.
Lots of people put this theory forward that releasing games in the summer would assure great sales, but you can be certain that the publishers that avoid releasing games in that window do so because of cold hard numbers.
Having said that, the Steam summer sales seem to do OK so there is a hungry audience that probably would chow down on the right game. Or better yet, a console summer sale. Give us last year's launch titles for about $10-20, that'd make summers a good ...
Fanboys grasp at straws. There have been rumours of God of War remasters and a Beyond 2 Souls remaster. When you are a fanboy that is enough to get a good strong grip on.
None of your quotes contradict anything he said. I'm glad you found it funny though.
It sort of does though. If Uncharted 4, God of War 4 and The Order were all releasing in the summer then we wouldn't hear nearly as much about TLOU remaster.
That doesn't mean it will be any better or worse to play, just that there isn't much else to focus on at the moment.
Ballsack, if you really want to understand fanboys then focus your armchair psychology inwards. A healthy individual would have no trouble accepting that another individual does not enjoy something as much as they do.
Well come on, don't keep us all in suspense...
And it is fairly standard practice to send an email out thanking all the beta testers.
If each one was personally composed by the CEO then it'd be news worthy, but a standard bulk "thanks and we hope you buy the game" really doesn't register as interesting.
Erm Hugo we can see your reflection in the TV. Why were you even taking pictures in the buff???
@Sic_chops the MLG tournaments referred to yesterday were the 2k and 5k ONLINE tournaments.
Look, I capitalised a key word for you.
Perhaps it is a good thing you cannot bubble down every comment that you think is dumb...
"Like I said, I talk about games and tech, you guys talk about me. Most of you have just blamed either this site or myself, as a defensive tactic to deflect attention away from you not having an argument about anything to do with gaming. "
Not everyone comes to a gaming website to have arguments. In fact I would say you are in a tiny minority. Thanks for stopping by though.
I don't disagree with that point, but I would say you are addressing a group of people that do not exist.
Nobody out there is asking Konami to include micro-transactions so they can skip the good parts.
