I think we all know by now that when they say a game is coming to Xbox they are including Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X, and the Xbox service on PC. It isn't complicated, and they don't need to spell it out every time just because you are a bit slow on the uptake.
Kinect? He forgot loads of other unrelated products too!
When I was a kid I got a little TAB sweet dispenser with a Donald Duck head. You can still buy those TAB sweets to refill the dispenser to this day. Just goes to show that some products get good long term support. So.... yeah.
I dislike the colour of the XBox One S, so I have little choice but to reluctantly buy an Xbox One X to replace it.
It might not have dynamic weather (I haven't followed anything Turn 10 have said), but I wouldn't base any firm conclusion on the demo. It isn't unusual for dynamic events to be scripted for the sake of a specially prepared demo, to ensure that the player gets to experience particular scenarios and circumstances that the dev wants to show.
I am pretty sure Forza 7 isn't the same game as Project Cars 2 though, despite the obvious similarities. Does PC2 have ...
My very first response to you was an insult. I insulted you as a direct response to your condescending dismissal of everyone with a view that doesn't align with yours. Your attitude irks me.
You seem to miss the fundamental point that Sony not allowing cross-platform play doesn't only impact Playstation gamers. It impacts all the people that could play with Playstation gamers as well. There are over 60million PS4 owners. Has it really not occurred to you that some X...
I see what you did there... It wouldn't matter what platform other people bought, if only Sony would allow cross-platform play, right? Or... no, I really don't think you're that clever.
Case in point: "The most vocal ones don't actually have a stake in this [sic]" lol. Do you not understand what cross-platform means, or do you actually believe there are people on N4G that don't game on any platform at all?
You are projecting...
I'd say the most vocal people are the ones that have friends across multiple platforms. But I do understand that recognising valid opinions can be difficult if they don't quite fit your agenda.
Keep up the good work.
Last gen XBox Live was a key differentiation between Playstation and XBox. It was dubbed as a premium subscription service, accompanied by a superior set of community features.
Of course we all know that charging a subscription for multiplayer was and is basically a scam. However, it was a successful scam. Allowing cross-platform play with the people that didn't pay for the privilege would have compromised the whole facade of the subscription service. You can see the bu...
Wuh? If you had to create a free Microsoft account in order to play Minecraft would you suddenly cancel your PSN subscription, or stop buying Playstation games?
Sony aren't a bunch of fanboy children. Their aim is to maximise their revenue, not to try to stop people from signing up for Microsoft accounts. Having a Live account to play Minecraft online would be no different to having a U-Play account to play The Division, or a Rockstar account to play GTA Online.
Why? #4ThePlayers
fanboys won't see this, or at least not in the same terms as the rest of us perceive reality. What they actually see and hear is one of the greatest mysteries of our time.
"see that it is a bit different, and not what you have been used to from PlayStation 4 up until now, and is actually a bit of fun."
Cone on now Jim, that's a bit harsh. The PS4 already has some fun games.
Find me an executive that says their own product is priced badly, that would be worth an article. This is not.
I dunno man, it's not all about technology you know. If I was Sony and I had maybe 100million users with PS4s I'd get pretty fed up of holding such a dominant position. I'd relish the chance to start again from 0.
I'm sure all the major publishers and other "stakeholders" would enjoy the financial and logistical challenge as well. Nobody is in this business to make money.
And yet PCs keep advancing, with no hard generations.
Turn 10 are making the PC version of Forza 7. If they decide to cap it at 60fps and 4k, and only offer graphics settings up to the same level as the XBox One X version, then he's right; no amount of money spent on PC hardware will make a difference.
That's not something he should brag about though!
Ha I haven't quite decided on ceiling or upward firing yet, and I haven't decided whether to go for 2 or 4. There hasn't really been enough content to justify contemplating it yet.
I assume the Xbox One X (and S) both output DTS:X to a receiver to decode, but I've never checked. In terms of games it will just be Atmos.
Afaik the PC version still doesn't support HDR, so in a screenshot comparison the Xbox might edge it. In motion you'd obviously notice the framerates in favour of (a good) PC.
'Sounds' like it is time to add some Atmos speakers to the home theatre at last.
Or speak really nicely to Microsoft about using theirs. Bet it'd be more cost effective and a helluva lot quicker than starting from scratch.
