Microsoft had 4k HDR trailers available directly from the Xbox One S dash for several games around E3. I would guess they're still there somewhere.
You should check out Revive, the Oculus store games are there for the playing on your Vive too. Imo Robo Recall is a cut above anything else you can play in VR (and 100% safe on motion sickness), and there are quite a few "proper" games from Oculus that are worth a look.
The Whale? That's a go-to demo for someone when i don't want to give them more than 2 minutes. If i like them more then they get to play Robo Recall :)
*apart from the ones where he is in a kart.
I'm just gonna say it: I don't like Mario games.
It's a lot like F-Zero AND Wipeout. The devs confidently say as much, an an homage to those games.
Unfortunately i played the VR mode a while back with some settings that no man or woman should endure, and it made me feel sick for hours. I haven't dared go back to it, but i should because the VR was actually well implemented and the game seemed good.
Alzheimer's is a terrible thing :(
@LordJamar based on a survey sample of "you", right?
A lot of people interested in VR already have controllers readily available, and if not the touch controllers can be used to mimic a traditional controller anyway. It makes sense to do away with it at this point to trim the price.
Might of guessed he'd be a Mac user
I don't think Microsoft's "pay others to do it for us" approach is the real problem. Good games are good games, regardless of who owns the studio or how the games are funded. Microsoft brought us the likes of Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Gears of War without owning any of those studios. Amd at the other end, if Microsoft owned Crytek I don't really think Ryse would be anything more than it is.
They've just lost sight of what makes a great game. Whet...
No, but in fairness they have taken a few stabs at it. I'm sure they'd love for games like Ryse and Quantum Break to be huge hits. They've learned the hard way that the formula for a hit game isn't as simple as it may sometimes appear.
You seem pretty certain that Septic and Gangsta_Red are the same person. But the only way you could be certain... Is if you are also the same person!
Deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole we go :(
Psychic SpaceRanger, predicting events that have already happened with complete confidence. Well done.
His reasoning doesn't make much sense when they just announced the Xbox One X patch for Halo 5. How is that not dwelling on Halo 5? They've already got Forge on PC too, so most of the hard work is already done.
I'm sure they have their reasons for keeping Halo 5 off the PC, but less sure that Phil is actually telling us what those reasons are.
I'm not trying to argue that PC gaming is better than console gaming. Just saying that the other games MS have already released and confirmed 4k patches for (Halo Wars 2, Gears 4, Minecraft, Killer Instinct, Forza Horizon 3) already supported 4k on the PC. Halo 5 is a different kettle and I didn't hold out much hope, but MS have come good on it.
The UWP games on Windows aren't really full of hacks though (for better or worse, they don't allow external progr...
All the other first party games getting the 4k treatment already offer it on PC, so a big part of the work was already done. Great news that they're making the effort for Halo 5 as well though. Call me a snob, but I found the resolution (and associated aliasing) really hurt the presentation. I'd been waiting on a proper PC release, and pretty much given up hope.
They can't fix the story or the squad mechanics, but I did feel there is a pretty game under there w...
He doesn't mean that they literally glued the hardware together :-/
