I'm on the exact same boat, except I built my rig a few months ago. Console gaming can't touch PC gaming.
ROFL!
That's pretty good then! I wonder if it'll have PSEye implementation. I really don't think developers will focus on it, though, judging by its price point.
Yeah, but I'm really not liking the sound of a 45 degree viewing angle. I was really wishing that this would finally bring real peripheral vision to video games, but I guess that'll have to hold off until later.
Exactly, make games future proof to a certain degree. Maxing games is just a penis competition anyways, make games playable for a larger amount of computers, suiting to the players desired FPS.
The platform with the highest potential should get more attention, IMO. PC should be the highest priority, and the PS3/360 should be made about equal.
Maybe people just don't feel that the game in question is worth buying on the first day?
I'm not downplaying good QA at all, but in an open world game, a lot of glitches cannot be found because they occur in specific locations when doing a specific thing. I agree with your point, but it's completely impossible for QA to go through all areas doing completely everything just because there's a possibility of something occurring; it's just not practical.
Compare a QA team of a hundred or so to a first day launch buyer's group. Bethesda's games aren't corridor shooters with no dialogue, they're open world games with a lot of depth. There's no way a group of 100 people can locate all the bugs in a game in 2 months in a game like Skyrim.
...ouch.
Still looking forward to the game though. The preview talked about some really interesting mechanics, although I'm slightly disappointed that the game isn't sandbox.
Capcom? Free DLC?
Throw a bone to MS? He clearly stated why he thinks so. It's obviously not from a consumer's point of view, but rather from the perspective of an extremely experienced developer.
I'm so stoked for this game. Hope it comes out soon!
Please be able to spell "nerfed" correctly before writing an article which the word takes up half the space of. Also, it seems typical for the average Call of Duty player to be falling back to the next cheapest gun just to make sure their precious K/D doesn't get below 7.35.
More like 100% CoD fanboy.
I don't think that at all. Look at LoL. Yeah, it's free to play, but 20 seconds to get a 5 v 5 match going on average? Pretty impressive for a niche genre. If anything, LoL is going to get DOTA 2 a lot of hype because it expanded the general public's views on games. Strategy/thought-involved games are getting very popular - look at SC2. I believe DOTA 2 is going to sell a lot, as I don't think any major Valve publication has ever undersold.
Exactly his point.
Don't forget Zelda!
When I say it furthers my case, I say it because a CEO of Ubisoft says that the Wii U outperforms the PS3/360 for SOME games.
Agreed. The thing about RPG's is that if there's enough content, there's no reason to mourn the loss of one basic quest. The reason the RPG genre is one of the best is that you assume the role of the player and have to live through the consequences of what you did. Or just save the game a damn lot.
