If you believe anything you typed there, bravo.
"not only run their FPS shooter to the ground"
It was acclaimed enough at launch for another publisher to directly cite it as a reason their FPS underperformed. And acclaimed enough to receive numerous awards, both from critics and fans.
"rather than fix or reinvest any money into their IP"
Halo MCC not only got fixed, it got enhanced and continues re...

Cool. Sony used to think you should get a second job to afford a PS3. Remember PSN going down for an entire month?
Do you hold Sony to actions and attitudes from a decade ago?
The scumminess of Sony and their hypocrisy? Their self-determination to be unable to compete with COD by abandoning all FPS development? Their preaching of how "all gamers" will be hurt by the deal while buying exclusivity not just to entire games (as is common practice) but to downloadable/preorder content on games available to all platforms?
They've got COD content exclusivity, preorder content for Hogwarts Legacy, access to betas early. MS honored the Bethe...
It has improved clarity due to resolution alone. You can watch any video and see their clear lack of passion in crafting the world, traversal, and combat.
It's not only got the worst modern Metacritic of a modern Batman/Gotham-set game, it's even below Scorn. Can't say it's surprising when IGN capped their "IGN First" month of GK coverage with a preview that had to mention they weren't allowed to touch it.
I do remember that, you're right about Legion launching like that. The update for 60fps I think pretty much just disabled RT
Don't have to care or like something to post an opinion. I'll disagree with Sully, and I care a lot for Halo, but 343 dropped every possible ball after Infinite launched in such good graces.
They deserve the criticism, as much as fans deserve the promised split-screen co-op that was confirmed multiple times since 2017 as a launch day feature on every Halo moving forward.
"What is Gotham Knights?"
The second 30fps-only title in the two years the new consoles have been out. Congratulations, you're joined by The Medium.
(The other two contenders - both Asobo Studio titles in Flight Simulator and Plague Tale - offer 40hz / VRR modes)
N4G: "Buy up the industry"
Reality: *still in third place by revenue and still can't get COD on Game Pass $70 billion later*
Embracer: *laughs in Tolkien and purchases another 6 studios for fun*
Microsoft lags behind both Steam and Playstation in the mobile app space already because of their decision to bundle Remote Play in the same app as the Official Xbox app. Whatever that reasoning, it makes the Xbox ecosystem the most difficult to access off the platform. The mobile site is not a good experience either.
PS and Steam, with separate Remote Play / Link apps, allow full store navigation and purchases over their official mobile apps.
The Xbox ap...
$20, I suppose if you are a fan of the genre and know what to expect from it. I had a better time playing Call of the Sea over this one, as that game had a bit more diversity in its puzzles and environment, and knew to avoid combat.
My playthrough was on Xbox Series X and on Game Pass - I wouldn't recommend a purchase if you can play it through GP instead.
"The final act hints at what could have been, ditching winding corridors and combat for something more condensed and set-piece orientated. By this point, though, the damage is done and it’s likely you won’t want to return for a second playthrough – not that there’s any reason to outside one or two missable achievements."
This in a nutshell. The acid spitting enemies were the worst part of the game. If they had removed them completely, and reduced the combat to onl...
I know it's announced for it, but I just really don't see 2023 having both FF 16 and Rebirth. With Forspoken itself being so large in scope and from the FFXV dev team, that's kind of like getting three full Final Fantasy games in one calendar year. Would surprise me if Rebirth doesn't get delayed into 2024.
I've played a couple hours at this point. I've only got the tongue-like weapon and died a couple times to those acid spitting enemies, as I'm trying to navigate a pod-like transport through the ruins.
Not sure what to think. The environment is beautiful and so well realized. Gorgeous graphics and not a single drop from 60fps. The puzzles wouldn't hurt to have some more subtle clarity and direction. These acid spitters are irritating, not a scare or fright or...
"Wow are you suggesting that Disney owns both ABC and Fox for NFL football"
Did you even read what I typed? I pointed out that ABC and Fox are owned by Disney. Factual statement. Apocalypse made a false comparison since ABC and Fox are owned by the same parent. I mention Apple only to reference both the NFL and another trillion dollar company. Calm down with your reactionary irrelevant essay.
"Once they do they 100% will cut out Nintendo an...
Disney has owned ABC since 1995 - $19b
Disney purchased Fox in 2019 - $71b
Apple, worth $2.2T, is currently in negotiations to get rights to streaming NFL games.
Argue whatever opinions you want, *legally* they don't hold value. You didn't even know your example included two companies already owned by the same media conglomerate that did nothing to "earn" them and their market share beyond having the money to do it.
Sony chose to abandon shooters and first-person perspective games as soon as they got access to Call of Duty marketing rights and took over with the PS4.
They chose, as a business, to give Call of Duty zero competition from themselves as a platform holder. The abandonment of Resistance, MAG, Killzone, Socom, War-/Starhawk speak volumes to Sony's intent on doing the least effort for the most return on the revenue they earn from Call of Duty.
That byline certainly looks opinionated.
*Reads article* Well OK then...
Man, it really is weird huh. The Medium, Scorn, Flight Simulator 2020, Ratchet & Clank, Returnal, and Destruction All Stars are like the only "true" current-gen console exclusives.
Then we've got the publicly-canceled-last-gen titles like... Gotham Knights? Any others?
Lastly we've got this batch - the PS3/360-remakes-that-skip-PS4/ Xbone: Dead Space, and Demon's Souls.
My least favorite classification is the w...
Of course Pete Davidson would be in this movie. As if seeing his face plastered on full-page Taco Bell ads in the Reddit app this week wasn't enough, after the year of Kardashian crap.
At least Seth Rogan can provide the "Ha, he's stoned" comedic relief for one scene.
The first Hellblade is one of only a few games I've played and beat in the same day. Such an incredible experience, great flow from beginning to end especially with headphones in the whole time.
Give me all the camera effects, walking, running, inner monologue, combat, whatever.
