They already attached death animations to the Season Pass and it's a single player game, what incentive would Striking Distance have to take resources away from bug fixes and working on the future content?
This is a gaming website and Halo is one of the most recognizable gaming IPs in the world. Microsoft has $70b they're throwing at an entire publisher while they gut the team created for and responsible for maintaining that IP (among the thousands of others that lost their jobs).
"What happens to Halo" is a fair question and isn't disrespectful to the laid off employees at all - it's a question in full awareness that in order for there to be more Halo, ...
This and RE Village being fully VR make me hope that RE4 Remake will be the same. Exactly what PSVR2 needs out the gate
"Some people are so controlled" says the guy that preordered a Square Enix game knowing how Square Enix has fared over the last couple years (especially these last couple quarters). From this studio no less - which went from being worthy of Final Fantasy to... this.
The demo wasn't bad. I liked it. But after playing it once I haven't had any desire to go back - that "itch" to play again was just missing. So yes I want to know the general receptio...
Performance on Xbox Series X at launch was markedly worse than PS5 and didn't include RT reflections. When RT reflections did get added, they were noticeably worse than PS5's.
They might still be lower quality than PS5 - their Twitter doesn't highlight any new year patch.
So if anything, being on Game Pass might've made its reception even worse.
The game is short enough that the absurdity doesn't get annoying and the shortcomings of its gameplay don't become a problem. Really enjoyed my time with it and the tv clips in town are hilarious
Huh?
What functionality do you need to learn to use a controller that you can already use on PS4 games on the same system?
I would add two simple things:
1. Allow DualShock4 on PS5 games on the console - DS4 support is built into the system. Sony allows it through Remote Play. This would make local multiplayer easier and cheaper, and it would be consistent with how Sony allows people to play those same exact games "requiring" DualSense off console.
2. Move Storage in the Background. It's 2023 and our SSDs have throughput speeds that would've been insane to e...
I thought Shadow of the Tomb Raider had better gameplay than Rise, but it annoyed me the most of the trilogy when I stopped to think about the story.
It's like they deliberately decided to make her unlikeable and did nothing to make the character you're playing as likeable or have even one sign of humility.
My top 20 would almost be completely different than this... and Halo 3 as the number one spot almost feels like a cop out - especially to not include Reach at all.
Sure, the list itself sucks. But that click-saver table-of-contents, every list should have that.
They address why in the opener of the video's title. He doesn't even have to watch but it's clear his only take away was "Series S, time to troll"
They have already done a One X vs Series S video. In fact, it was done one year and one week ago. By the same guy. SSD-enhanced Xbox One X at that - literally in the title of the video.
You people are ridiculous and really have no idea what you're complaining about.
Compelling first-party content with GT7 and Horizon out the gate. Resident Evil at launch and shortly after with Village and 4 Remake. If they can keep up the content without compromising on flat screen releases - even ports of VR1 content like Astro, or bribing Valve for Alyx - then that option makes the PS5 a no brainer as if it's not already.
That would be so awesome if Spider-Man 2 has VR in some way, like a racing mode - Peter vs Miles. A natural way to have VR in ...
Having 32GB of system RAM myself... The 8GB VRAM in my RTX 3070 is crying as it is
And Activision as a publisher - what exactly has their own management style done for gaming in the last five years?
Lawsuit after lawsuit. After lawsuit.
Firing hundreds of employees when announcing record profits.
Consolidation around one single IP: Call of Duty
... But Crash 4!
...... Which led to that studio becoming a COD support studio.
... And now Crash is back!
...... As a GaaS Battle Rumble thing no one asked for...
Fable 2 was received better than 1 - except for those awful menu load times. Also I tell myself 3 didn't exist.
But MadLad gets it - Playground Games have only given us quality, and other devs have branched out successfully.
This team is also brand new and the leads that left to form their own studio left the Forza team, not the new team built up for Fable, and Eidos Montreal is assisting development. It could suck or bomb but it is far too early to b...
The sudden announcement last week of GT7 coming at launch has been making me really reconsider how much of a bitch I wanna be toward that cable...
I knew it'd come since there was a flash of footage at the end of the PSVR2's first trailer, but I wasn't expecting launch or even spring with how they didn't bring up GT VR at all until then
I guess to have posted this an hour ago, you've missed the news that they've got a show on the 25th for their "early 2023" games including Forza, Minecraft Legends and Redfall, with ESO getting a post-show and Starfield getting a whole dedicated show not long after.
Or, weird flex for an Xbox diss on the first day in months they've got actual news about things
Outside of Call of Duty and first party exclusives, what games don't go for big sales a few weeks after release, especially at holiday time? Gotham Knights and Sonic Frontier were going for up to 50% off for black Friday and that was after Sonic being out just two weeks.
That's been a reality of gaming sales for a very long time. I'll guarantee you that Forspoken will be available for the high $30s or low $40s by or before spring sales in March. Considering revi...
