@Actual
It worked as of two years ago. I have it in my office entertainment center (unplugged)
One day I'll finish Ni No Kuni on it
No one said it's a standard. What are you talking about?
Spider-Man 2 is also coming to PC in a month or so. RT-capable hardware has been on the market for over six years now, there aren't really any options anymore that don't support RT.
If they're to evolve the Portal itself into something more functional, it would be neat to see it connect directly to the PS5 wirelessly and get some Wii U Gamepad like functionality.
An always-visible map or utility functions in supported titles, bypassing the home network for streaming.
Sony could also give us access to other streaming services through a limited app store or just by opening up the browser.
Refuting his point:
Others are doing the same or worse than Microsoft but are being given free passes.
The most powerful console sold today has no disc drive you can buy with it because the proprietary drive isn't being manufactured to fit the demand. If gamers like me bought the PS5 Pro, I literally would be unable to play 90% of my PS4/PS5 library until I get lucky sometime somewhen in the future and find it in stock.
As a support...
Exactly this.
I still have my PS3, MGS4 Bundle console from 2008. One single hardware.
Xbox 360... I bought 3. A launch unit, an Arcade unit when that one died, and the middle redesign because the HDD was huge and it had Wifi + HDMI the earlier ones didn't.
Blah blah Microsoft.
Nevermind Sony just launched the most expensive console in modern history, without a disc drive, and without the capacity to produce near enough drives to meet demand.
Anddddd nevermind that you just proved the double standard. It's allwaaays Microsoft as if they're an actual leader and trend setter still in this industry.
Spider-Man 2 is another RT-exclusive title, the way it was built for PS5.
So it's not anymore about how powerful PCs are when base-level consoles are putting this up. Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition is the only other one I can think of.
It's a double standard. No one complained about Hogwarts Legacy last year doing this; because that game was tied to "controversy", everyone swept its bad parts under the rug.
Tencent's probably developing Slayer's Oath already, to release shortly after their Alt-Horizon.
No need for Ubisoft.
What a despicable take on this.
It's a stupid mindset to have.
How many years did we sit through seeing BS like "Neil Cuckmann" and Abby being labeled wrong just because she's buff?
So it's especially absurd seeing the same person slamming DEI and woke, also anticipating what's next from a studio that's been targeted so heavily *because of exactly that*, from a publisher like Sony that has DEI integrated into their publishing culture and SBI in most of thei...
Wait a minute... What made TLOU Part 2 not woke?
Or Ghost of Yotei, the main actress identifies publicly as gender-fluid.
The guy literally said he was going to use AI to do it. Human development lol
The biggest selling title of 2023 was Hogwarts Legacy and not one person seems to critique that game for doing an online-mandatory install... Its disc doesn't get you far
Sony released a console upgrade without a first-party "launch" title.
They are severely understocked on their proprietary disc drive.
The best example of the Pro's impact - Rebirth - is so transformative partially due to just how bad the base version performance mode is.
It seems now there are more "bad" examples of Pro upgrades than there are good. I wonder if Sony will respond in the coming weeks and months to do something for the...
False
Proof: you are able to purchase titles within the Steam and PS Apps. You've always been able to.
The one exception is Xbox, where they both (1) have their own mobile store agenda, and (2) have remote play built into the core Xbox app, while PS Remote Play and Steam Link are separate apps.
It won't be a full physical edition if there is one.
Zero reason to buy Xbox first party discs this gen
But instead the lesson learned will be "Physical is obviously the inconvenient one here"
110% agree on Astro's gameplay and platforming prowess. The whole thing was some of the most moment-to-moment fun I had all year aside from Shadow of the Erdtree.
My issue with Horizon being placed where it is isn't that God of War *shouldn't* have been the leading capstone stage, but that it seems apparent Horizon is viewed by PS as their golden IP and I just don't like that. It felt like a forced, unearned, corporate-pleasing placement that was tonally inc...
86 on meta with 43 reviews on Xbox and 87 on PC with 42.
About equal to how well Wolfenstein II was received, just a point underneath it so far. That's awesome they seem to have pulled this off
