Playing through the rest of Prime Remastered through the next week or so, Prime 4 has a lot to live up to for how well 1's world design and progression hold up over 20+ years.

I hope they can pull this off. Prime was an incredible trilogy and there still isn't anything quite like what they did back then.

And by releasing their titles on PS, MS is also convincing you that's a great place to play.

And just maybe a Panic Button impossible-port coming late 2025/early 2026 to Switch 2 with the completed DLC?

They're very familiar with id Tech after all.

Deacon was an insufferably written character that was fussy and whiny to every NPC he interacted with in the first half of that horribly paced game.

If nitpicks spiraled out about that game's characters, it starts with him.

I'm in the same boat, but I did platinum/finish Forbidden West and Burning Shores.

I don't care about the Horizon spinoffs, I'll never replay a 50-plus-hour game's remaster, Aloy is poorly written, and the hints/tips kill any challenge, but the gameplay is fun and the graphics are absolutely insane. I can't dismiss the next main entry but I'll pass on launch day and full price after how messy FW launched and how pathetically stupid the DLC treats pla...

It builds off the amazing tech from last year's Avatar. Gameplay quality is a different subject and console compromises don't take away from what it's capable of on PC.

Even PC versions of games feature DualSense support, beyond Sony's own.

Who cares if MS copies the new-standard of haptics? Yes they are missing out, that's kinda the point of improvement here.

"More PC games than PS games"

The fanboys' arch nemesis - wider access to games they love

The three titles in the thumbnail are my three favorite new releases of the year.

Astro Bot is my GOTY but Indiana Jones is a close second and Stellar Blade right up with them. Shadow of the Erdtree is my favorite gaming experience of the year though.

I played Penny's Bug Breakaway after hearing John rave about it so much on DF. One of the worst platformers, it did not click with me at all, and maybe it was a skill issue but through to the end, it ju...

It didn't shatter enough records for Microsoft to tweet about its performance on Game Pass, but it did break MachineGames' Steam player count with just over 12k (not 8K, guys this takes less than a minute to look up).

It's an amazing game too, I'm loving my time with it and hope that PS players will enjoy it when it releases there soon too.

It peaked at 12,138, article is based on old numbers.

Beat out The New Order by just about 200 and is their biggest Steam launch.

What the heck is this article. It ends with him... not spending money on this. Just saying yeah sometime eventually.

Clearly you weren't sold, yet you're writing a puff piece telling everyone you are, until you admit you aren't but will be?

If they go from 12TFLOPS to even just 24, that *technically* would be true.

Obviously not in terms of percentage-increase-over-previ ous-gen, but much more literally the raw numbers.

Misleading but not a lie, fits perfectly with how they communicate nowadays.

Also much better than the alternative talking points of "No, you're an Xbox!"

What developers mean by that is -
They want their games to be able to run on the upcoming cash cow that will be the Switch 2.

Any work towards Series S benefits that eventual impossible-port

Sony didn't claim to say "No Pro console"
And even if they did say one thing years ago - you seriously believe that?

Nintendo completely denied the DS Lite all the way until a day or two before they announced it. Sony even said they believed in generations by announcing PS5 games and only revealing weeks/months later that almost every single one was coming to PS4. Marketing will be marketing

Ya know, I just realized how much more relatable Ellie would be if she read Marvel comics and if Joel drove away after rescuing her in a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Heck, Naughty Dog dropped the ball even earlier by not having Nathan Drake wear The North Face.

Horizon, that takes place on our Earth, would be weird, but a game that takes place 600+ years in the future in SPACE is fair game to plaster ads all over?

There are old world trinkets all over Horizon that would be prime for shilled product placement. Imagine how relatable it would be for Aloy to find a coca cola bottle cap or a Sony walkman in a locked chest stop a hollowed out skyscraper

And naming names, goken is another person thinking these in-game ads make the game more "relatable"

The likes of EA and Ubisoft salivate and wish every gamer thought like that.
