Best single player Steam launch in EA history.
Imagine Epic, of all companies, funding a digital-exclusive game not available on PC outside of Epic.
A year after release, it's still just so unexpected /s
What was so abominable about it?
It launched better than Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
Star Wars doesn't have an existing fanbase to you?
Those leaks really killed my hype for it so honestly, PD getting its CD did nothing to get me more or less excited for either.
Could entirely be that we haven't seen anything official yet because internally they didn't like the creative direction was headed for Wolverine.
Or it could be just that Brian Horton wanted to work with The Initiative because he's another former Crystal Dynamics guy, as he was the director of Rise of the Tomb Raider. ...
I think Wolverine might be more fitting of that description than Perfect Dark.
I mean, PD just got a creative director, Wolverine just lost its.
Because it doesn't work that way?
Seems like most of the bigger names in Xbox don't go to Sony. Joe Staten to Netflix (now closed though). Mike Ybarra and another one or two to Blizzard/Activision (now back at MS). "Co creator of Halo" to studios they found or cofound. The guy who led Gears of War is now the guy leading Diablo.
And of course how Xbox doesnt have the talent in the first place to lose...
My OLED Deck is running Middle Earth: Shadow of War at 60fps. I'll see tomorrow how well DA:TV runs on it as a day-one verified title.
Even if it doesn't run today's games as well as we'd like, it still runs AAA titles from the PS4/Xbox One generation at a high framerate and my backlog is big enough that I'll be good for a good long while.
Honestly the biggest issue is a single black dead pixel near the center of the display. Better th...
I guess I was more serious than even I thought when I said people were afraid of the color purple.
Either way, I'm personally excited for it tomorrow - have it preordered on Steam and I've got the space ready on both my PC and my Deck. After seeing the DF review I'm so ready for a Day One PC title that's actually ready to be played on Day One.
You are taking criticism of this scam game far too seriously, Prince. Far, far too seriously.
I'd be more than happy if Naughty Dog could craft bangers closer to the lengths of the original TLOU and Uncharted trilogy.
Crazy that we got all four of those, and Left Behind, in just the PS3 era alone. Surely their shorter lengths helped push them out quicker and with more focused stories. It felt like a win-win.
I uninstalled Infinite like six months ago, that ship sailed until they at least introduce a new weapon. And heck no, I'd get it on Steam.
If it becomes a real product that's actually good, yeah I'll certainly get it then. But right now that's a huuuge if
Sony, in their self-described most profitable generation so far, did not need to cut the jobs.
Their decisions and their decisions alone led them here. They could have forced the studio to make a single player component. No. They could have launched as a F2P. No. They could have forced Naughty Dog to finish TLOU Factions 2 and handed this off to them for persistent support. No.
I fully expect Herman Hulst is continuing full steam ahead on the stylized Hor...
There is no need to shill endlessly for a scam
All those high-end graphics and rendering systems, for a gameplay premiere that was nothing more than an on-rails turret shooter with AI set on a static scripted path.
These guys don't know how to make a game and management forced the devs to work 7 days a week for weeks leading up to this joke.
If you said my favorite taco spot was bad, then I feel horrible for your lack of good taste.
What's up with these stupid 0-or-100 analogies? Continuing with the terrible restaurant analogy, which would be better to try for a new place, somewhere with a 4.5 star or somewhere with a 2.9? You can't be serious
I 100% thought that they'd be compatible. In the spirit of the interchangeable disc drive, it makes manufacturing sense.
The size of the covers look identical in shape and size if you think of the black vents as essentially just spacers.
But - It's becoming clearer though that they really are a part of the shell design on the Pro.
@Pete knows what's up and how to do it! I'm pleasantly surprised MS Rewards redemption stayed at 12000 points even after they raised prices.
Review bombing caused Sony to partially change course with Helldivers 2's post-launch PSN bait-and-switch.
So yes it can be used to speak effectively in ways sales and player count alone can't. Sony had assumed with both sales and player count they could've gotten away with something like that.
Except that the DA previews were mostly positive.
