The entire basis of the story and the universe is that the surgery would have worked. That's an assumed truth stated countless time that makes Joel's decision that much more heavy: he sacrificed humanity's future to save Ellie.
If you disagree, you too miss the entire point of the franchise.
At this specific point in time, waiting is the best thing to do. Next-gen RTX GPUs are around the corner.
If waiting is off the table for some reason (middle of summer... No major PC releases till Fall now), go for the RTX 2060 or its Super version, because now enough games support the feature.
I'd bet that Horizon will use DLSS 2.0 too. Would be a dumb omission since the engine clearly works with it
That's not an opinion - it's flat out wrong. Halo CE was a launch title, Gears was not a launch title for either of the two generations it's been around for. Neither franchise even coincided to release with the One X.
You only posted to troll around and you couldn't get that right.
I'd hope the event is before and we can demo some of those games.
... a Halo Infinite beta would be very much welcome
We haven't seen the next gen versions yet so we don't know how locked the 60fps will be or how close to 4k that dynamic resolution will be...
I'm about 80-85% of the way through I think. If you don't like Abby, or you don't understand her, this is on you and not Naughty Dog.
It's pretty damn clear that the motivations of both characters are near-identical. Abby kills her father's murderer. Ellie wants to kill her father figure's murderer. That's reducing it to the most basic level, leaving out the extra justifiable motivation Abby had: Joel single-handedly ruined humanity's chance ...
He was the creative director of the game, you think one single guy wrote it all in isolation?
Also... Genocide? Really? Did you even play this game? Clearly not if you think the entirety of Abby is an attempt at forced-guilt - you missed the *entire point* of the story.
They really upped the graphical detail compared to the first. It's a really lovely game.
There was a moment early on when we're ascending up a snowy part, and the way the light shines through the trees during that scene was one of the prettier moments I've had from the One X.
And then AI-upscaled to 4k. It's already been shown that in certain games DLSS 2.0 4K provides better image quality than native.
I put double the hours into Days Gone that I didn't like but even I didn't think that was pointless.
How do you spend that much time on something so pointless to you? Clearly Druckmann did right to engage you for nearly a full work-week
You're petty
Phil does a congratulations to a competitor and y'all are spinning that into a fanboy war?
Switch lets me play games in my bed, on trips, on planes.
PS5 will let me play the deepest stories with no load times.
XSX will let me play some 20-or-so years of games and more to come in their best quality, and even on PC for their own games day-and-date.
Great times
The Halo Infinite trailers are in-engine and have been analyzed by Digital Foundry. They also examined the PS5 trailers. Don't talk about things being CGI when you clearly don't know what it is
Talent over Power, any day everyday. What Naughty Dog will deliver on PS5 gives me goosebumps. The attention to facial details are beyond anything I've seen before - making those expressions in the mirror in a museum. The grimacing when an enemy is near, teeth gritting when stealth killing, the shivering and squinting in the snow, that it actually looks like lips are connecting when there's kissing. It's so masterfully done.
ODST and Lost Legacy were solid and focused. I like Lost Legacy as much as I do the mainline Uncharted games, and they introduced a hub of sorts in the world like TLOU2 has in Seattle Day 1
It would be weird seeing Cyberpunk 2077 with Series X upgrades previewed right after the delay that pushes it right on the next-gen launch, when all that'll be available then will just be the One X version running at full throttle.
The last thing MS needs to show are third party cross gen titles when they're receiving flak on their own cross gen titles.
For the people who disliked the story, did you play the game with headphones?
Hearing the subtleties of Senua's inner monologue, her self-doubt and deprecations made that game one of my favorites of the gen.
The fact that you're reducing it all to Political Correctness proves that you cannot have a serious conversation on this game. Gay people have existed since straight people first gave birth to them, sorry a little kissy kissy boo boo offends poor little you.
