Easter eggs! There'll be a cute Rayman plushie and a Sam Fisher figure, just so they know you'll know they know about the franchises, even though we all know they don't really care about them.
Get ready for the first true next-gen Assassin's Creed then.
It'll instantly transform the world between the past and present day. Looting a cave? Glitch in the Animus and you're now in a concrete jungle of a corrupt corporation's laboratory's super-secret basement.
The only game I've ever seen release within 3 weeks of Black Friday and not be price-reduced is RDR2. Just wait at this point
This year they've released Gears Tactics to good reviews and Ori Will of the Wisps to great reviews. Most of the studios they purchased are big single player developers. For going the GaaS route, that combined with Hellblade 2 still being one of the 2-3 confirmed MS games for Series X sure is a good way to show it /s
Uncharted has had 4 mainline titles, a Vita game, a spin-off, and trilogy remaster since 2006.
God of War has had 4 mainline titles, a prequel, two PSP games, a remaster, and several bundled packages since 2005.
Halo will have its 6th mainline title this year, a prequel, two different-genre spin-offs, a same-genre spin-off, and a remastered package of five previous games. Since 2001.
Gears has 5 titles, a remaster of one, a prequel, and...
Sony's said that their PC games will also release under the Playstation Studios publisher.
But even so - at most, it's an interesting omission; at the least, they won't be betraying any arbitrary labeling just in case 2-3 years down the line they decide to port a Playstation Hits title to PC.
(Someone suggested above about Spider-Man MM 'enticing' people to come to PS5 if it came to PC. If Sony were to move a title to PS Hits and port ...
You can't blame the developers when most of the time it's at the publisher's dictation.
Boxed gaming software has stayed the same price since 2005. We've gone from DVDs to Blu Rays and now games will ship on multiple Blu Rays or possibly a UHD Blu Ray.
Movies cost more in their higher resolution formats. Uncharted 1 was a $60 launch title. TLOU2 is a $60 generation-closer title. The development costs between the two none of us will probabl...
If you like the formula, you'll like the game. I definitely won't get this at launch if at all, only because I just started Odyssey - the first next-gen only AC will be the next big step.
Those people just moved on to being upset at Call of Duty.
Lol, tell yourselves that.
In this thread: People failing for the umpteenth time to see the irony in being offended by other people who feel offended
What do you call people complaining about snowflakes? Again and again? And again?
They balance each other out. Do we think Microsoft would have such consumer-friendly gaming policies if they had the software to do the talking, or that TV-centric vision panned out? They had to create a narrative for themselves to stay relevant because they got too hot-headed during the 360 gen.
Sony was arrogant and cocky from the PS2 era. Suggesting people work more to afford the PS3, a $500 & $600 system way in 2006. Their lead went from nearly 5x over Xbox, to the ...
Uh, I wasn't at all offended so you're wrong there. It's because they have no guts - they create these politically-influenced stories then back up and say it has nothing to do with current events when people ask them about it. If that's their attitude, they shouldn't be making stories they don't want to defend.
And Far Cry 5's ending, if you bothered to play through that crap, made the entire game completely pointless.
Microsoft has so many studios now and with Game Pass' effect that it's impossible to predict really (who'd have thought Everwild before, say, a Banjo or Conker revival? Or even Gears Tactics becoming a thing that's actually well-rated?)
It's the extremely-rare PC exclusive that Microsoft will occasionally still make. It's to also come to Xbox One, so they're gonna be saving that for XSX launch I'd bet.
I think Age of Empires 4 and Flight Simulator 2020 are also PC exclusive, but I don't recall if they'll be truly exclusive or move to Xbox later like Gears Tactics.
Instead of calling out companies for calling out despicable behavior... you could spend the same amount of energy
to call out that despicable behavior. Or just shut up, because that contributes more than whatever this is.
I like Ubisoft's open world formula but they're so big it's hard to get excited for more than one every two or three years.
And when you have an ending as bad as Far Cry 5's, those dozens of hours just end up feeling like a waste. If 6 touches close to modern politics at all, nope. The real world is polarizing enough, take me back to a messed up tropical paradise
Death Stranding is a 2019 game for $60 and HZD is early-2017 for $50. Any improvements to the engine are beneficial to PS5 and future developments.
You're not going to convince me that a 3.5 year old game sold for as little as *their Steam price difference* is worth *five times that Steam price difference*. If the game was actually $40, ok, fair point. But it's not
Amazon has 128GB Flash Drives for $15-$20. Ten double-layered DVDs and that packaging process surely can't be that much cheaper to manufacture can it?
