Good journalists step back from potential conflicts of interest regardless of how objective they are or can be.
IGN's podcasters have mentioned casually "ah, can't review that game!" when talking about something like GoT last year, but have a friend working at SuckerPunch.
Jeff Grubb, friend of Xbox executives, just had an article criticizing a PS executive and the PS strategy of supposedly moving away from small games and going all in o...
I am very surprised that a F2P game generated 1/6th revenue on a platform with hundreds of millions of devices compared to one with "just" 100 million. And 1/4th the revenue of a device with only 50 million units out there.
By giving a 9 to Demon's Souls?
And a 9 to Spider-Man Miles Morales?
And a 9 to Ghost of Tsushima?
How about that perfect 10 for The Last of Us 1 and 1 Remastered and 2?
Spider-Man Remastered even got a higher rating than the base PS4 Spider-Man!
All on IGN
@yeahok, I'll give this a shot. The PS3 launch. It was $100-$200 more expensive than the 360 and double the Wii's cost, the third-party titles were universally worse than their 360 versions, stock was bad, and the biggest launch exclusive was Resistance. This was in a holiday where Gears of War (and therefore UE3's premiere on consoles) launched, and Nintendo gave us the adult Zelda we wanted with Twilight Princess. Xbox fans already had access to Oblivion - PS3 fans had to wait t...
I reeeally like my Xbox too, and it's got a lot more hours logged than my PS5, but my experiences on Series S have been The Medium's lowest-end port and Game Pass titles I could've played with longer load times (and higher resolution... but lower framerates) on my old One X.
Astro Bot is the best pack-in to a console IMO. Spider-Man MM was far more than "DLC" in both production value and even length when you do the side objectives. Demon's Souls i...
Huh?
Play-time is a very relevant thing... especially for single-player games
The Last of Us Part 3 Plot is Outlined & Could "See the Light of Day", Neil Druckmann Confirms
From that headline:
1. It has a plot
2. It isn't being actively being made, but could be some day
... & Could "See the Light of Day"
Do you not know what "could" means? Or did the first line of the headline upset you so badly like it did the others complaining in here?
The title of the article is exactly the reality of the situation.
If that stirs you up that's on you, lol. Triggered much?
We want Village in VR.
We get... Facebook Resident Evil 4 VR complete with GameCube graphics
He can't even get the fiscal quarters he wants to compare to right, and it's an argument no one is pushing him to make.
Stop trying to throw shade, violet. You're bad at it.
Well that's one way to spread Fake News.
Xbox 2020 Q3 revenue was down 1% YoY, hardware was down 20% and service spending was up 2%.
If anyone is misled about the negligible differences on systems you can't get in a store yet, it won't be because of a remaster of a decade-old game that never once was marketed with mention of either platform.
This. Sure, the resolution could be improved on PS5/XSX, but we have exactly what we were told we'd get, and it plays solidly. Really enjoying it 4 hours in
I'm curious what kind of server hardware is powering PS Now - if actual PS3 chips are used or if it's being emulated by much stronger server chips.
We know that xCloud is/was using Xbox One S blades ('Spring' being the transition to Series X, but it's hard to know how stock affected that plan), and they just started BC Streaming so maybe that transition is already underway (but The Medium as the only Series exclusive is not Cloud enabled).
What allows you to play BC games? The iOS and Android apps both won't let you play 360 or OG games
Fortunately there is Remote Play for access to nearly your whole digital library.
But they have a bad precedent at the moment there in that 360/OG titles are being added to Cloud Streaming, but no word yet on BC becoming allowed when using Remote Play.
Embarrassing indictment? You know nothing of software development then.
UE5 is not released yet and developers for years will still make UE4 games because that's where their tools and customizations are.
Mortal Kombat still uses UE3. Mass Effect Legendary Edition is also still UE3.
I'm glad to know that housemarquee was not the arbiter of how a game should control, by letting us customize them. Thanks for the heads up on that, Jeece!
