TL;DR they're required because they're required, not because it may benefit the consumer to have a backup DS4 for native games to let guests or friends play a quick game at a rare Covid-era hangout.

Since Day 1 we've been able to use an Xbox controller with Remote Play on iOS. That is supported and fully works, even the Guide button is recognized as the PS Button.
This is simply Sony forcing early-adopter accessory sales.

I agree, even with more of those games I'm excited for than you. It's hard to say anyone had a killer performance this E3, and as good as Halo Infinite looked to me, it's a disappointment there aren't any hands on impressions for it (or really many other games it seems)
Another way to look at it - Sony's actively in mindshare because Ratchet just launched, and right before was the premiere of Horizon FW gameplay, both with massively positive buzz. 90%+ of the games announced during E3 will be on PS5.
Going to E3 themselves would have created a numbers conversation: who's releasing what the rest of the year, and Sony has the fewest first-party releases remaining now for 2021. So by skipping it, they're avoiding potentially negat...
Horizon is a very pretty and solid game, but its environmental interactions and physics are extremely basic if we try to compare; it wasn't trying to do what BotW did.

Halo MCC seems to be their baseline. The seasonal content doesn't expire or appear outside of the seasonal UI. New points you earn can be used on those previous seasons, or in a new UI where you can spend points on specific rotating cosmetics instead of seasonal unlocks
Speaking out for a while, lol. Even Fallout 76 is a success story now, what a good job that's doing.
Not to mention that the PS Experience has always kinda been compromised, whether due to technical issues (all of their PS3 games) or Sony's policies with mod support.
Some of these comments make it seem like Bethesda and Sony were best buds before MS took them over. If it were Sony to have come in instead, do we think for a second that they would've been allowed to make PC releases still?

But the devs have said over Twitter already consoles are at 30fps, 30+ if they are on a VRR display. If it's 4K on Series X, I'd expect 1080p on Series S.
