Streaming devices it seem will be getting the high-end - Microsoft's upgrading XCloud server blades to Series X hardware
(jzn - it's impossible to doubt the technical skill from devs like The Coalition, Playground, and Turn10. 343 especially for everything they did for Halo MCC throughout 2020 PC and Console. Say what you will about "exclusives" but 343, PG, Coalition, Ninja Theory, and Rare all already have titles Optimized for Series X and some of those ...
It really is more than just a way to price gouge us.
Those happy pasture-raised chickens with the deep orange yolks, compared to generic Hickman or Kroeger eggs.... you can never go back, it's just not the same.
Some awfully poorly spelled insulting too.
Considering their emphasis on the water systems, I don't think we'll be seeing flying mounts.
Their engine's evolved enough now between HZD, Death Stranding, and their enhanced PC ports, that I'm sure *if* they wanted flying, they'd find a way for the PS4 to work with it. But we saw the BotW comparisons when the glider got introduced - maybe they distinctly wanted to avoid the predictable route we'd all expect and that's why we now have the empha...
You will need to buy the Yuffie episode for $19.99 on the PS Store.
(that's according to two articles on a google search. Considering that the Save Upload is kinda the same as Spider-Man, I wonder if Yuffie DLC will be accessed the same way as how Standard Edition Miles Morales owners can upgrade to get Remastered, which is also only accessible through the in-game interface)
Smaller file size - always good
Having to install the PS4 version again *just* to upload my save stored on the PSN Cloud to the magical Game-Specific-PS4-PS5 Save Cloud - still bad.
The PS5 upgrade is free to PS4 owners (though not those who got it through PS+), but the Intergrade's Yuffie story is a separate purchase.
Totally agreed. I'm (clearly) critical of Sony and their marketing messaging - but the PS5 itself is an amazing machine. Cross-/last-/current-gen, anything and everything feel great on it and the stock situation guarantees no price drop any year soon, so if you can find it and afford MSRP - why wait?
... Unless you're some weirdo that likes loading screens
Gears Tactics is a strategy game, not the Hivebusters DLC, and all 10 of the games I listed are released as Optimized for Series X|S titles.
They are not part of the 97 BC titles that offer boosted framerates. Maybe you should think twice before declaring something to be stupid.
Sony and MS are neck-and-neck when it comes to the quantity of games with dedicated next-gen versions. Xbox Game Studios actually has more released so far.
10 - Halo MCC, Gears 5 and Tactics, Ori, Sea of Thieves, Forza Horizon 4, Grounded, Minecraft Dungeons, State of Decay 2. Soon to be Flight Simulator
8 - Spider-Man: MM & Remastered, Demon's Souls, Sackboy, Destruction, Returnal, Astro's Playroom. Soon to be Ratchet & Clank.

How can one be a concern troll for copying & pasting a direct quote?
So we could actually get the cross-gen Halo Infinite, with 60fps and Ray Tracing, before the 30fps HFW with no Ray Tracing.
If we take 2020 N4G seriously, HFW is committing many next-gen sins and needs a delay or else.
I wonder if anyone actually thought this would've hit 2021. As for PS4... The original God of War 2 released as a PS2-only title after the PS3 was released. This is at least better than that with a native new-gen version.
(And no, being cross-gen won't hold it back. That was a stupid argument against Xbox a year ago and it'll continue to be a stupid argument to attempt to use against Sony.)
Does anyone else have problems with Dolby Atmos and wireless headsets on PC through the Xbox adapter?
My Xbox Wireless Headset from MS cuts in and out with Virtual Surround on. Metro & Village both have that happen, but only with that setting
majie, thanks for more than proving my point. Your downvote is appreciated.
Two open-world games release in the same week 4 years ago.
Both score really well, but one in particular sells over double the other while retaining full MSRP (the other drops as low as $9.99), and for all intents and purposes sweeps GOTY awards.
When a mechanic in that game, but not the other, makes its natural way into the sequel of the other, N4G goes out of their way to show how literal they interpret anything and everything that doesn't spin their crowned ...
The blades of grass certainly did (especially before the assassination move), but I didn't spot the hair clippage.
Guess I'll just have to watch it again, oh darn
I definitely noticed it. The way the light hit it, the bounce when she moves, the way it didn't seem to clip into her weapon.
From how it's been talked about, the original Decima engine itself was apparently tied to a 30hz refresh rate (physics and the game systems, not just the display output). It may not be possible, and that could also be why the PC version wasn't as stable as Death Stranding at first - they had to rebuild it in that newer version of the engine. A 60fps patch may not be possible if that all is true.
I'll guess that a 60fps Horizon ZD will be a Remaster a la Spider-M...
*Rejoices in noob guilt*
If it makes the game worse for others who're better at the game, I feel for them. It would be a cool accessibility feature for this or any single-player game to have some option like "Balance" to keep that original difficulty scale when it's updated
