Halo MCC and Gears 5 run at 120fps on Series S. 1080p resolution.
To have a performance delta 1/8th of Series X and PS5 is not consistent with any new-gen experience. Hitman 3 is 4k60fps on the big guys but still hits 1080p60 on Series S. Even AC Valhalla has a 60fps option on it.
Sony announced GoW2 in September as a 2021 game. Since they believe so much in generations... this obviously-2022 release will also release on PS4.
@utopian - Not true. Halo was delayed in August, Xbox released in November. It was less than a month after the reveal. Phil always said they'd delay the launch of a game without it impacting the release of the system (when asked about this exact scenario - if Halo were to be delayed).
Assassin's Creed games are worldwide efforts involving almost every Ubisoft studio in some capacity. Nintendo pulled in Monolith to help with BotW. Jin's just a troll that craps on anything Xbox for those cringy upvotes.
Halo 5's campaign sucked but the multiplayer knocked it out of the park and still has a good player base. Complaining about Halo 4 MP still shows that he'll never play MCC... where 343i managed to port the entire collection to PC during Covi...
I bet they could write in a Doom-appropriate love story. They'll be finishing each other's chainsawing
I disagree almost entirely with this article in regards to them being suitable for KOTOR, but would love a Star Wars from each of these devs.
Rocksteady would have a great sandbox filled with easter eggs to respect the lore of the universe, but KOTOR isn't an action brawler. They'd nail a Bounty Hunter game. Kojima would probably pull a Rian Johnson and throw the lore out the window, but if he was to focus on a specific genre I could see you being another Bounty Hunter infilt...
Exactly. My left and my right both went out this week.
Since you're a headline reader... "one of the primary drivers of Bungie’s expansion is to increase the commitment to the long-term development of Destiny 2..."
*Has issues producing enough content*
*Expands studio to produce more content*
"But yeah go ahead..."
Well, this seems to be why Ninja Gaiden 2 got removed from Game Pass.
They even dropped a demo for this one. It's a lot more real so far than any game announced for 2022...
And Valhalla has become their best-selling game in the franchise.
Halo 5 120fps boost!
Its 60fps makes it the worst-performing Halo now
It's more about licensing rights and sales than it has anything to do about technical limitations at this point. If they make a title BC, they're going to list it to the store, and they need the publisher/developer to do that.
It's in the description of this article: "system level tweaks", but there is at least another step.
Developers need to issue patches though for games that want to exploit this functionality. They originally demoed this feature showing Fallout 4 running at 60fps on a Series S, obviously not a part of this first wave. Maybe Bethesda's team just... hasn't gotten to it yet? Or, they haven't updated SDKs/Tools from the earlier demo implementation? Or th...
Black magic could be if you can connect it to your PS5 and Xbox both at the same time
This isn't about Siege, you're right. This is about another Ubisoft Tom Clancy game that coincidentally ties itself to the crappiness of 2020
Not xCloud, but just console streaming through the iOS app - Halo MCC I was able to win a match and feel good at it, and inconsequential games like Call of the Sea and The Medium feel as good as TV play.
If any random someone with an iPad or even a Kindle tablet can connect their DS4 and enjoy this, heck yes
Considering the pain that people close to me have gone through because of who and what they've lost from the pandemic, these opinions are fucking stupid
Series S is also to get the full console gamut of Ray Tracing at 1080p resolution, but they're not yet confirming 60fps. In the other article here about the game and Nvidia vs AMD, the interviewee mentions not being satisfied with their current renderer and the Series S GPU performance over the long term
Mortal Shell Enhanced Edition is getting 4K60fps on Series X and PS5.
Series S is getting... 4K30fps.
And to top that off, my Series S is set to 4K120hz output. It'll play media in 4K. The 1080p 120hz output option won't do HDR either, oddly. The Falconeer exceeds 1440p and Ori runs at 4K60fps.
