Zero interest in this or anything Amazon wants to try churning out. Their first game was an instant flop, their Lord of the Rings MMO got cancelled, and since a LOTR MMO was in development alongside this, do they have any confidence in its long- or even short- term viability?
Elder Scrolls is in its Oblivion year, FFXIV is getting an expansion in November, WoW Classic is getting a remastered expansion too. Plenty to play over a v1.0 from a new publisher that has done nothin...
It would be nice to know Sony's plans more concretely, but they're anything but consistent lately in terms of what-to-guess. We've got:
- Believing in generations, but actively supporting cross-gen, except for certain titles at random predictability. Demon's Souls and Ratchet - exclusive. Horizon, Spider-Man, and Sackboy - nah. New IPs Returnal and the online Destruction - exclusive. God of War 2 - who knows?
- Days Gone 2 was supposedly rejected, b...
It's odd verbiage - the resolution isn't enhanced, it's the same 1440p as PS4 Pro.
Regardless - can't wait to try this out!
I last played the game before the patch that broke the little save system that they did have (ironic huh?). I think I put the system into Rest Mode when I was halfway into Biome 3 on a good 90-minute-ish run.
So that patch was likely downloaded. And the devs told us to not play again or reinstall if we already did play with the patch. The next day a fix comes out so now that's probably the version installed. Either way, the next time my PS5 is turned on I'll be remi...
They hit the nail on the head with my biggest issues on the game - Deacon is a grumpy, bitter biker, with a bike that has the worst fuel efficiency of any motorcycle ever made. Maybe the world would've been more fun exploring, if it didn't come with the built-in task of scavenging for gas everywhere. Maybe freakers would've been more exciting, if we had a decent amount of ammo to handle a small horde much earlier in the game. Maybe the story would've been better, if our charac...
@Magog, the titles you use don't prove your point. Avengers - effectively double resolution on XSX (native vs checkerboard) for a negligible performance hit. Outriders - that was the demo version. Hitman - one single exception and they still gave the win to Xbox. Valhalla - several performance patches have been included since that (even a quality mode). COD - The 60hz RT mode was better on XSX. Control - that same article says how XSX can outperform PS5, and Destiny 2 sticks to native res...
Ocelot, see, those complaints are just complaints for the sake of complaining. It's a service, not an entitlement.
Outriders has been out over 30 days - it's now receiving 10% off if you want to own it. And they've historically given two weeks notice before a game is taken off the service.
I don't understand the rationale of complaining about this. You have full ability to buy something on your own. If you're afraid it won't be the...
Sparingly? They hardly make games anymore where multiplayer is a critical component, and those that do have Mtx no different than the way MS does. Uncharted 4 even has a $50 virtual currency DLC
If you want to bring up Ghost of Tsushima as having no Mtx, I'll just refer you to Halo MCC. New cosmetics have been added twice this year already and all are progression-based
Mtx like that virtual currency in Destruction Allstars? Or like those $1.99 face mask costume pieces you can still buy for TLOU Remastered?
I'm betting that they'll do a special 20th Anniversary Halo console for the fall.
3700X + 2070 Super - usually floats at 70ish RT and 120+ RT Off
I'd love to play that. There's what, some dozen or so years for them to cover before TLOU?
It doesn't even have to be called The Last of Us - "The Rest of Us" could be appropriate for a spin-off taking place as humanity dwindles until the "Last" remain
No one expected to play as Abby until the leaks hit, and her story was normal game-length just by itself.
I've got a Samsung m.2 that's about the speed of the Series X SSD (EVO 970). It's good - the game loads in about 5 seconds.
I'm only just past the beginning after that awfully-designed Lycan sequence and Demo area, so not far enough yet to really notice tech issues. It slowed down when the Big Guy appeared, but it didn't surprise me considering I had RT on and everything at Max (1440p).
lol, it only needs a connection to the server when I'm in a game or searching for one. After differing lengths of time, MCC just stops searching, and 5 does successfully search, but fails connecting to the freshly created server.
And Microsoft has the switch to turn Quick Resume on or off for a game.
It is on PSN and Xbox Live
Neutral - Despite increased membership in Game Pass, Xbox managed to grow its proportion of sales Year over Year with a major publisher. It's in the article, literally right there. 14% to 23% for the quarter. 16% to 21% for the year.
"It's a valid concern" - Please educate me in how 23% is worse than 14%.
I don't care.
These are Ubisoft numbers, for Ubisoft games, where Ubisoft had increased revenue for Xbox platforms, but people want to spin that somehow more money from Xbox players = less money from Xbox players.
MCC has a Network Settings tab with a refresh button. The refresh button doesn't even work when it gets 'stuck' like that.
It's dumb that their biggest franchise and biggest title still being actively updated dropped the ball on one of the biggest new system features. It's even dumber when they chose to be a Day 1 Optimized Title, and six months later, they still haven't fixed that bug to just *refresh a list*, the very top bug reported months ago in...

It really has been that long since a fresh Elder Scrolls...
