Finished it too earlier in the week - gotta say it's my favorite RE. As ridiculous as it all was, they spun the story well and the voice actors nailed it. Started a NG+ and played some Mercenaries - think I'm gonna try 100%ing this over the summer
It's not that lack of cross-play hurts the community, it's that there isn't a reason to not have it anymore. Why *should* a PS player not be allowed to play with their Xbox/PC friend, when we know there isn't a technical hurdle? Because you personally don't want to create a private party with your friends in a mainly co-op game? Devs have also included toggles for cross-play or input-based MM for the player.
Sony want both the 30% cut from their platform *and* a bonus from the others. "Borderlands on Game Pass" fantasy aside, just imagine if any other company did that. Apple wanting an app's revenue from a Google Play purchase. Valve wanting a cut from an Epic Store download.
Is there a precedent for something like that? Without spinning up some conspiracy.

I'll guess Early 2022 too but Sony could surprise us. After all, they had the gall to announce GoW Ragnarok as 2021 back in late 2020, when they just had to be able to gauge how unrealistic that sounded.
I mean, I still think there's absolutely zero chance for Ragnarok this year, but if HFW is delayed too, they have no reason to start the hype machine before E3 (especially with Ratchet releasing right when it begins).

I'm just on Hardcore and spent an hour on the final fight, and close to two in the opening Lycan fight. Gave up with her and will try again today! Can't imagine these two on anything harder
