Yeah, I was more of a fan of 8 too. I don't see why people rave on about 7 , but not 8. I thought it was amazing.
I still remember fighting the weapon (omega or ultimate) in the deep sea research centre and farming on the island closest to hell.

Actually, that's a good point. Ever since I started working, I've only played 1 JRPG, mainly because you have to invest a lot of time in them. After a hard days work, I don't have the energy to grind for experience.
I still play when I get a chance though.

I didn't disagree, but I think your wording is what caused the disagrees. You refer to HD consoles not producing good JRPGs. People click disagree because they want to defend their systems I guess.
In fairness though, it's nothing to do with the consoles. It's the generational gap that's affected the quality of JRPGs. The western gamer is where a lot of the money is, so Japanese developers try to make 'westernized' JRPGs, which often go horribly wrong....
Well, games are usually released on Fridays here in the UK, so I guess our date will be 7th. But we shall see.
Good point that it will become available later, but at what cost? They'll obviously charge for it.

Besides, why are you surprised? Nobody batted an eyelid when New Vegas had pre order bonuses/weapons etc, but call it DLC and people complain. I, for one, relish the idea of getting extra game to play for no extra cost.

I think that something similar to the Fable idea could work. Other people can drop in and out of your game world and vice versa, but there's no REAL need to do so.
I'll buy it regardless, but it would be nice.
part of my work involves editing videos and clients insist I use Final Cut Pro for some projects. Becuase of that, I have to own a Macbook Pro. Because of this, I've come to love it am now a bit of an Apple freak.
But I still can't justify spending an extortionate amount of money on what is essentially a big iPod touch. About the only think the iPad is good for is being able to more easily read web pages/books etc, but for less money you can buy a cheap laptop.
Rather annoyingly, I don't enjoy FPS MP AT ALL...so all these games that sell themselves on a MP experience mean nothing to me personally. As far as I'm concerned, games need to prove themselves in SP to be worth spending the money and should never have to rely on the MP.
That being said, I've only played a few hours of the Killzone 3 SP campaign, but so far so good. I think it looks and feels amazing to play.

I'm sure R* don't care, with all the millions of people that will buy it anyway. GTA IV was different to San Andreas, but that doesn't make it a bad game.
It was still an amazing achievement and I'm sure the next installment won't disappoint when it finally does arrive.

He's back-peddling to avoid trouble from R*. We all know GTA V is in development, but considering the lack of any announcement, we also know it's still a long way off.
I've only got a DS Lite and I love it and lots of games on it...but I wouldn't play it if it caused discomfort. I won't be buying the 3DS, which is a huge shame.
