I think this is the best idea. Increase the popularity of Shenmue by releasing the PSN and XBLA, then that will not only ensure better sales of Shenmue 3, but the profits could also fund the development.
Shenmue is a trilogy that was unfinished. People don't want Yakuza, they want the great story of Shenmue to finally be resolved. It can look and play exactly like Yakuza for all I care, but you can't just leave a story unfinished.
30 seconds? Think you might be doing it wrong.

Yeah, it is pretty awful, but it's a nice addition for hardcore fans and does give a little bit of back story on Magus. I'd see it as a bonus feature maybe, not a fully fledged game.
It said of the last 2 generations. SNES was 4th Gen. We're now in 7th Gen, though I do agree that the SNES was the best of them all.
Nobody 'wins' E3. I have a DS, PSP, 360 & PS3. I'll be happy to hear what's happening with all platforms at this Exhibition, not Competition.
Any real gamer would respect all platforms and only gaming 'journalists' care about trying to start flame wars to promote their sites.
Maybe they plan on cashing in on those too to make more money.
Chrono Trigger rereleases, followed by Chrono Cross rereleases. Would probably be good for DS and PSP. Who knows, maybe even a limited edition version with Radical Dreamers (though I doubt it).
@soundslike Cared enough to comment.
This is a point I made recently. No disrespect to you at all, but that's all trophies are...an ego trip. Back in the day, you would just tell people of your gaming exploits and that was enough.
As for MGS 4, I think running around with Stealth, Bandana & the Patriot are reward enough.
Wow, disagrees for people who want a dev to get on with a new game. All they need to say is that it's not a new game, so there's nothing to make them put trophies in it.
I thought they would add trophies, but it certainly isn't the end of the world.
Haha! Very true. I've been playing MGS4 recently and I find the emblems a good enough incentive to play. Trophies were never around on older systems, yet they still did fine.
I just bought both of these game pre-owned to see what they were like.
Resistance 1 - £3.50
Resistance 2 - £7.00
Which is approx. $17.30. But then if you want the trophies etc then $40 isn't too terrible I guess.
Cool. Thanks for that!
What time zone is this?
I 'would' have said that being bigger meant there would be more room for bugs...but I'm cautiously optimistic about the new engine (or redesigned engine) and really think that Skyrim will deliver good things.
The main problem (in my eyes, at least) these days is that a few people think it's 'cool' to be seen as hating games and act like children (whether they are or not) just so they can get attention online.
Everybody slates Call of Duty, yet it still boats great sales on every release.
I say if you don't like something, that's fine. Just don't try to convince everybody else that they're not allowed to like it either. It's like the...
Then I agree completely! :-)
I'm going on vacation on 4th and I really want a new PS1 classic title for my PSP for the flight!!! Please hurry Sony!!!
The Final Fantasy brand is too strong. I don't think it'll ever be 'done' as such, but they may well lose the console market and have to focus on handheld, because that's the area the FF seems to do better in these days.
Edit: Besides, if Versus is as great as we are led to believe, it could revive the series and even push it in a new direction that DOES work.
In all previous Hitman games, the difficulty setting controls more that just enemy AI. All the instinct mode will be is a replacement for following your target on the map in easy mode like in previous games. Hitman games have implemented new features every time and have never failed to impress me.
This game will be amazing and I for one won't be falling into the trap of condemning a game before I've seen ANY evidence of failings like everybody likes to do these days. ...
