I don't care what console it's on. I just want it.
There was nothing wrong with the FFXIII battle system. It was a new approach and people didn't want to adapt. What made FFXIII painful to play was the pacing.
E.G. If you WANT to grind away forever and make the most powerful character ever and do side quests to get better items, why can't you.
I loved FFXIII, but I just feel that you were spoon fed a little too much and weren't given enough freedom. Even a mission system at save points (like FFVI...
With Nomura on board, FF is dead? This is the same Nomura who has created some of the best FF characters ever and heads up the MASSIVELY popular Kingdom Hearts Series?
Edit: Interesting disagree. Whether or not you like Kingdom Hearts, it IS popular. And I see nothing wrong with his design skills. FF8 was one of my favourite Final Fantasy games...whatever...
I'm very excited about Brink. After the early tech demos, it just feels like a fresh style of FPS.
And of course, Skyrim will be amazing! Good year for games.
I think NFS is a great game, but at the end of the day, it's an arcade racer. GT5 is a racing simulator and is a much much deeper gaming experience.
If I wanted a quick adrenaline fueled racer, I'd pick NFS over GT5, but it really depends on mood. They may both have cars, but they are not the same type of game.
Oh, and name-dropping GT5 to get your opinion listened to...not cool. Succeed on your own merits, not those of others.
My thoughts exactly...but JC2 wasn't really about story. The focus was on carnage and fun in a massive world. A little more variety in the missions and it would be perfect for me.
I'm dubious about an 11/11/11 release date for this reason. If Skyrim is coming out on the same day, MW3 is going to be put against one of the most anticipated games of the year.
That's just bad marketing.
Noooooo!!!
If it comes out this year, by next year it'll be cheaper and you can pick it up then. I'm happy to part with my money this year for this one!
Pretty strong comment to make with no reason behind it.
The game has achieved a lot of publicity for its tech and is being put out by Rockstar. It'll sell more than 2 million IMO. It won't be the best selling game of all time, but I think it'll do well.
Fan of Rockstar perhaps?
"This is the last dance for Lance Vance!!!!"
Molyneux is getting this award because he is a visionary. His IDEAS are amazing...the only problem is, the execution of those ideas is always terrible.
I agree...but what year?
Grow up. Kinect is not my cup of tea either, but don't be so immature as to come here and hate on something, adding nothing to the conversation.
If Sony supports Homebrew, they open the floodgates for people thinking it's okay to hack the PS3 security. Sure, I bet all the pirates who want free games would LOVE that, but if Homebrew persists it makes piracy more likely. If that happens, both Sony and third party developers will make less money, which means less games and the games that do come out won't be very good because the devs will have to cut costs to compensate for their losses.
I know homebrew looks go...
i think that's a great idea, but don't think it'll ever happen. Rockstar have a few cities which they tend to recycle.
Even in GTA (the orginal top-down game), the three levels were Liberty City, Vice City & San Andreas. As far as I'm aware, from that first game, GTA has never left these cities (GTA:London excused).
The only other city I've ever seen mentioned in any GTA game is Carcer City, which of course is the setting of Manhunt. ...
If GTA went to Hollywood, it would be San Andreas. Los Santos WAS Los Angeles essentially (remember skydiving down to the Vinewood sign? That was awesome!)
I personally loved the single player of GTA 4 and disliked the multiplayer, but each to their own tastes I guess...that being said, the constant phonecalls were annoying as hell...
Actually, I just started playing GTA 4 again. It's not the greatest game in the world, but it's still enjoyable. Rather than generalising about a group of games and criticising others for playing them, just play what games you want to. I happen to think that the GTA franchise will be around for as long as gaming, and it will always sell well, despite the internet haters.
Read the article...It doesn't say worst game. It says most disappointing. Sure, there were many more games that weren't as good, but FFXIII was put of a pedestal then didn't deliver.
Thank you...I would give anything to have the old SquareSoft back. :-(
My PSP is in my bag right now waiting to be played on the train journey home. Still playing FFVII: Crisis Core and GTA: Vice City Stories. The controls AREN'T that bad when you get used to the camera controls.
Oh, and being able to play Crash Bandicoot portable. Makes my life so much better.
