Last I heard, The Getaway had been put on hold but not cancelled like previously thought, so if any when that arrives, I think you'd want that.
Personally, I don't see GTA ever leaving the cities of Liberty City or Vice City or the State of San Andreas. That's how it's been since GTA 1 and hasn't changed in 14 years (with the exception of GTA:London and GTA2, but I don't think a return of those are very likely).
Edit: So I'm guess...
The territory of a free service? Excuse me, but I don't recall having to pay for Steam, so that argument is absolute garbage.
Security issues can plague any networking infrastructure. Where Sony has dropped the ball is in their poor response time and lack of communication following the breach.
EDIT: I do agree that Xbox Live and Steam are better services, but I don't really use Live anymore because I resent having to pay.
I don't care if this gets disagrees. You're a dick. I hope the next earthquake hits you so you can feel the pain and suffering of these poor people.
Fuck You.
The bigger picture is the Bioware have been very cagey about revealing anything about Dragon Age 2. I think people are entitled to know why and censoring everything you can is probably not the way to go.
I have split opinions on this.
You could say that people are being too critical and the mods are justified, but in the same vein as a creative, you need to be able to take criticism and build on it.
This, paired with the review embargo on the game until AFTER the release date, makes me VERY concerned about this game. It sounds like the publishers want people to have no access to the game before purchase unless it shows it in a bad light.
Aww, really? If so, that sucks. I know they were never quite GTA standard, but I actually enjoyed the New York one :-/
Tell me about it. I used to just look at magazines so I could look at the pictures in anticipation :-D
I think the Saints Row games play fine. What was wrong with it?
Valve have never ever disappointed me with any game. Besides, they said CONTENT-wise.
You'll still get pathetic fanboys with their screenshot comparisons but I couldn't care less to be honest. Just enjoy what will undoubtably be a great game.
Forget GTA IV, Vice City or San Andreas. Give me GTA V and blow my mind once again R*.
Edit: I do like those games, but think of the future!
I don't have a PC powerful enough for gaming anymore (my last one took to filling up my room with smoke then exploding), but I have to agree with this. If I still had a monster PC, GTA modded in the only game I'd ever play.
But that's because people were hoping it'd be San Adreas 2.0.
Considering it was the first game on the current gen of consoles taking the series in new directions, it thought it was an epic game. Things can only get better from here on out, I think.
To be fair, comic book games used to be AWFUL too, until Arkham Asylum came out (maybe 1 or 2 spiderman games), so there may be hope yet.
I agree, though. Most are really not very good.
I always cheat in Pokemon. AFTER completing the game, in order to make certain Pokemon I want to appear. I'm not a fan of cheat saves anyway. Feels like you're just playing somebody elses game.
GTA has ALWAYS stayed in the same cities, from day 1. Why do people think that Rockstar are going to change things up? If you want different cities, give Saints Row 3 a go later this year, or maybe even True Crime: Hong Kong or Yakuza?
GTA is what it is. There are alternatives if you don't like it, to be fair.
Besides, if LA is true, then it will likely be part of San Andreas, most people's favourite GTA. I can't see the problem with that.
The games industry has gone decidedly strange. I miss the good ol' days!
I'm sure this is a great game, but what the hell? It does make you a little suspicious of the game if the publisher don't want you to know anything about the game their pushing until after it comes out.
Plus, I don't think Dragon Age 2 is exactly the kind of game that will get negative coverage, so what's the point of this? If anything, positive reviews BUILD hype before a release and will influence sales.
I haven't picked this game up and...
Oh, come on. GTA is the flagship series for Rockstar. As long as they kick out GTA games, they have more revenue to pour into new IPs. It'll come, just be patient.
Besides, we won't hear anything about GTA or Agent right now; not with the release of LA Noire right around the corner.
I see major announcements being made just after the release of LA Noire in May. Considering E3 is in June, it's likely there'll be some new info there.
I disagree...
I've played it and I think it's a great game. Yes, it has its problems, I won't lie. Melee combat is clunky as hell, but magic system is complex and interesting.
The game world is varied and beautiful in places and the side missions are great fun (main story is awful though).
I'd say if you've got the money, give it a go. If not, it's at least worth a rental. It's not the best game, but it's not &...
Can I just give a child a sword and send him off to fight the dragons for me then?
Hell, if they can't die, we should take advantage of that!
Also, I don't agree with being able to kill children, however they should react to being attacked and maybe have everyone in town attack you if you are aggressive to children.
