Alos seriously you either havent played Crysis on console or are being plane blind. The only way consoles do manage Crysis is with most of the vegetation and foliage missing. Not to mention the low res textures everywhere.

Remember how the dev kept promising the game wouldnt get compromised due to console development.
In the end what came out was very linear corridor style game. Specially suited for the console demographic. Hell the PC version didnt even feature graphic adjustment features.
Sorry but most games that do go console, also tend to get the consolitus treatment.
Depends, on consoles, probably 20-25fps.
PC any 200usd GPU will do 60fps.
Steam has more features than any of these services.

Emulation can never be perfect, however its amazing how good it is. With a modern rig, 95% games out there run perfectly. Hence i wouldnt be whining over the few that dont.
Wii is only compatible with Gamecube games, it doesnt support N64, Snes or Nes games. Yes you can buy some of the games again from Nintendo(whatever they have decided to release), however good luck making those run on the next console. Same can be said for Xbox 360.

You dont need to go out buy a highest end 2000usd rig.
A 500usd rig will run circles around consoles, while its games will cost cheaper. In the long run PC is always cheaper than consoles.
Its funny you mention 1985, yet forget none of todays consoles truely offer BC. Its again the PC which today enables games from all eras to be played on one machine.
I could be playing games from 1990's arcade on my PC with a DS3 controller wirelessly. The list includes all of Nintendo consoles to date, PS1, PS2, all Sega consoles. Basically anything not PS3, XBox 360 is playable on PC. The amount of BC is simply mind blowing.

Well the controller certainly looks like it was designed for Reggies hands. I cant imagine a kid getting their fingers all the way to the center of the screen, unless they hold the controller with just one hand, which imo would ruin the immersion with the game.

8800GTX launched before the PS3, and is more powerful than the PS3 till this day. Till this day it plays most games out in 1080p. PS3 does most of its games in 720p or below.

Maybe you played the console version of DA1, which really was of no compare to the PC version.
Console version had less enemies to make it easier for the restrictive control pad. PC version was pretty fast paced imo.
DA Origins was amazing.
DA 2 was a dumbed down game with console type gameplay in mind first.
