I got over 200 games on Steam. Those are worth thousands of USD can be anywhere between 4-8k usd.
How will getting a PS4 save me money? I just burned my entire library since the PS4 cant play them. Seems like a expensive exchange to lose my entire library for a console that hardly has any games to start of with.
You wont need a 2012 / 2013 PC to provide those graphics.
I am sure a 4-5 year old PC, will come very close to maxing the game out. Just might need to turn down some of the effects, IE Shadows, SSAO and TessFX. This wont effect visual quality that much and still will be miles ahead of console versions.
Depends from person to person, If someone has 40-50 games purchased on a system then yes it will matter to them. As the games alone would have cost them 2-3K USD, thats alot of money.
Specially i think graphics this gen have gotten to a point where they were really good. The jump to next gen wont be as big as it was in previous gens. Hence people wont find older games unplayble. Which is why i feel BC is becoming more and more important.

Its silly to point at the PS3, not everyone has the space to plug in multiple machines from different era just so they can play the thousands of usd worth of software they bought.
Personally i love Steam in that way. Next gen may be coming, i have over 200 games on Steam, I know i am not going to lose my investment of games, neither will have to repay for them. Everything just will work.
Get Dosbox, most old games work with no problems what so ever.
Thats not gonna stop people from Emulating PS4 or Xbox 720 on the PC.
Now that both the systems use X86 Architecture it probably will be much easier to emulate than to emulate a Cell Processor.

Dude again, the PS4 isnt out yet. You cant compare a GTX 670 or GTX 680 to a PS3 or Xbox 360 and call that expensive.
Both those GPUs are far far superior to current consoles. Its a known fact that 500usd PCs of last 2-3 years run circles around current consoles.

Titan is expensive today, generally top end hardware always is, however hardware that is very close in power can be found at a much cheaper price. Check GTX 670 and GTX 680 for ref. GTX 670 is almost as powerful yet much cheaper.

Well in some regions of the world game are already selling for 80usd. I wonder what will happen if the price rises to 75usd in the US. It probably will rise to 100usd where i am at.
Oh well.. Good old Steam, already have 200+ games there. Most of them bought on discounts for 10-15usd. Ill just carry on buying games on Steam, no harm done.

There wont be any BC. Thats pretty much a given. None of your PS3 games or PSN games will work on the PS4.
For BC to happen they would have to include some of the PS3 hardware on the PS4, thats not gonna happen due to costs.
Emulation isnt easy. If it was we would have seen it on the PC by now.

1. Not every PC gamer buys high end rigs.
2. You can build a 600usd PC around the time of PS4PC launch and it will outperform the PS4PC.
3. PC games are cheaper hence in the end PC gaming is cheaper in the long run. Have fun when none of your older games work on the new box. That itself is a loss worth thousands of USD.

Yes it is, but even a 6 core Intel Desktop CPU struggles at it. The CPU within the PS4 is a low end mobile CPU, there is no way it can handle the Physx effects the way GPU hardware can. Its simply because GPUs have hundreds of cores which just are more efficient at these sort of calculations.

You need to read up a bit on tech and update yourself.
Check out Hardocp's review of PCI 3.0. They make a comparison with TRI SLI with the highest end GPUs. Its PCI 2.0 vs PCI 3.0.

I know how CPU utilization works, dont lecture me on it.
Go ahead look at the CPU utilization on a windows PC when its at idle. There hardly is an CPU utilization.
So its not like the Windows OS is a huge hog on games, thats simply not true. Unless you are trying to run a video editing app in the background while playing a game.

PC looks sharp while both console versions look blurry. Probably because the consoles are running in sub hd.

CPU- They fail to mention the CPU within the PS4 is really underpowered. Its AMD Jaguar CPU which is designed for mobile platforms. Its no where close to the performance of Desktop CPUs of today. Specially Desktop CPUs from AMD itself will stomp it to the ...
It will run perfectly fine.
Just disable SSAO, TressFX, and use medium Shadows. It will still be miles ahead of the console version.
