I was refering to the PC version. It does have dedicated servers, yes the graphics look crap, however COD buyers already know that, they just like the style of game play.
Modders fixed the interface on the last one, i am sure they will fix this one too.
About 250,000 concurrent users are online on Steam playing Skyrim, which means the game has probably sold very well on the PC.
If there were issues with the game the forums would have been full of complaints, I dont see that happening.
Imo PC is the definetive version for the game, specially with the truckloads of mods coming up.
The game runs great in 1080p, it even supports dedicated servers, however the engine is outdated making the game look last gen. For people who enjoy the COD forumula they probably will enjoy it.
Well you could buy the first 3 games from Steam or D2D when they are on discount(they probably will be on the Christmas holidays). You probably will be able to buy them within 30usd.
As for Revelations, you can order it for 35usd here:

@tubers
I think 3DTVs are far to expensive still. Monitors make the best choice.
A 120hz monitor with a midrange PC, 500+ games supported = Awesomeness
Still not a bargain Imo, all the games have been on discount on Steam on 1 time or the other.
First 2 games have been sold as low as 5usd. I purchased brotherhood for 20usd on the last discount. Hence i would say for the entire collection a fair price would be 25usd.
3D is awesome, over 500 games are currently supported, and even mid range hardware manages to play them at 1080p 60fps.
List of games supported in 3D:

What is wrong with Bf3 chat system? i usually type what i have to say. however if voice chat is bad u can just uae ventrillo or so.
Lol id buy the game, emulate it on my PC at 1080p, 60fps :P no need for hardware that provides 1 game worth playing a year.
Long live dolphin.
Imo every low to midrange PC sold these days is probably capable of emulating Wii games flawlessly.
PC Version clearly looks sharper and more detailed of the bunch. In comparison both the console versions look a bit blurry, textures dont seem as detailed.
Whats cool is PC version can be maxed out on a GTX 275 which is about 3 years old now.
Also its not just about the graphics, PC version easily runs at 60fps. Lastly this isnt the end for the PC version, console versions will remain stagnant from a graphics perspective, Mods will only make PC better overtim...
@battletorn
You do realise chartz for kids doesnt track PC digital sales, which is where most of the PC BF3 copies were sold.
Even if Xbox manages to sell 3 million and PC sells 1 million the profits would be the same, this is due to how profitable DD sales are, the profits scale much higher then retail sales.
Lastly you should check number of users online on the game, its all about even, which means the game probably sold about equal on all ...
Competely agreed, A friend of mine made a I7 gaming system back in 2009. Here is what the setup looked like:
I7 930 stock speed
HD5870 AMD
6 gigs ram
His 5870 is still running games like BF3 at 1080p on high settings at near 60fps.
Now he intends to upgrade next year to a GTX 680. All he will be doing is:
Buying the GPU GTX 680
Buy heat sink, OC CPU to 4ghz.
And he will be set for anot...
That still doesnt mean PC is a niche is it? Like most of the people on this site would like to believe.
I am too lazy to dig this out, however one of the cheif engineers at AMD who envision where the high end GPU tech goes got fired. We dont know how the next guy will envision the future.
However imagine if devs really didnt care about PC market, didnt take advantage of the hardware, People will stop buying high end hardware. This will end up in a slow down. ...
@memots
Check my link I got the standard vesion of BF3 day one at 38usd which i think is a bargain.
Its only Activision really that is charging a premium for their games, personally i dont care for COD, i havent bought one since MW1.
EA titles can mostly be had cheap if you look around a bit.
I personally bought Batman AC for 39usd from Steam which was their offer for people who already own the previous batman game.
...
Lol so why keep any power unlocked anyways? If i buy hardware today i would like developers to make full use of it today.
Would be silly if i bought a GTX 580 today and was told... oh 25% of its power is being held back for a later date lol.
you can get PC version for 50usd from other sources.
I bought BF3 on launch day at 38usd ;-)

You dont need to pay console prices on PC games, specially on digital networks like Steam the prices are controlled by these publishers, doesnt mean there isnt a way around it though ;-)
Also if you must get it from steam you can hold the purcahse f...
I already own Modern warfare, i really dont want to buy another map pack with new perks. Besides i believe maps are something the community should be making, its not something the developer should be milking.
My moneys on Skyrim.
Personally i like patches however day one patches scream the game hasnt been polished very well.
I hope they got the Sli and Crossfire scaling working right.
Skyrims an awesome game, however graphically nothing this year aside PC version of BF3 can beat Witcher 2 maxed out. It just is no contest, Skyrim while a great game has many low res textures.
