Global economy is slowing down, dont be surprised if you see more of your favorite developers closing shop on big budget games.

Anyone cared to see US or European GDP in the last quarter, it clearly shows things are going back to recession. Hence this is not surprising.

Going forward expect more and more multiplat development since developers will try to cater to as many platforms as possible. Exclusives will only exist when a company funds them, simply mone...

This just might be the most fun Totalwar game yet. Why this didnt happen earlier i have no idea. I think they have a winner on their hands with this one if they pull it off right.

This is like a Warcraft game but on the epic scale of Totalwar.

NFS shift was arcady though i wouldnt call the handling dreadful.

Iracing, Rfactor are really hardcore. Personally i like Assetto corsa too. I think all 3 of them are hardcore Simracers.

Project cars is more of a Simcade, its more on the tune of Forza and GT series.

Witcher 3 will probably be a very strong contender for GOTY. Its amazing the journey taken by a small developer to get to this point.

Well PC and console gaming is different. On console a game comes out people play it then it dies out quickly, since there is nothing to keep the game fresh then there is the run to the next game released.

On PC you tend to get communities that mod the game and keep extending its life. Check Skyrim, CS: Go, Team fortress 2, Dota 2 on Steam tons of people are playing those games they just wont die, they keep evolving all the time.

I would say people on PC are g...

I think Steam has grown too big too strong to be ignored by developers.

Specially with games like GTA 5 selling 1 million day 1 from Steam alone, it shows the PC platform has strong potential. Heck i think a game like Skyrim sold more on PC than on console, Funnily enough PC gamers are still playing Skyrim due to mods and the game is still selling on PC. Hence sales on PC tend to last a very long time.

I think more and more developers will wake up to this and...

Well developers almost always show the best version of the game when trying to hype it.

Cant blame CDProjekt for not showing a console version. Though yea people might be disappointed if the differences between what is shown and what they achieve on console is too great.

Well supporting consoles is actually bad for their PC business. Let me explain:

1. They get paid peanuts for the console hardware they provide.

2. Consoles slow the PC industry down, as games are designed for old console hardware in mind. PC gamers dont need much upgrades like they used to. Take the example of last gen. Where a 8800GTX purchased in 2006 could easily last 5 years without needing an upgrade. This was because it was way more powerful than both t...

@Hammad

It wasnt PC gamers that started the silly trend of buying DLCs such as Maps, weapons, skins etc. Thats a trend started by console gamers. PC gamers had all of that for free via mods.

Sure the trend started by consolers spilled over to PC gaming, since many games now dont come with Mod support. None of this would have happened if Console gamers asked for mods to begin with.

@bleedsoe9mm

By that thought we should have just stuck with PS3 and Xbox 360, since all i am seeing is a slight graphics upgrade with current gen over last gen. Nothing the PS4 or Xbox one have shown us couldnt have been possible on last gen. Last gen consoles were powerful enough to do pretty much most of what the PS4 and Xbox one can except with graphics turned down of course.

No one here is saying gameplay should be compromised, its just that Sony and MS m...

Sorry but many of us have moved on to higher resolutions. I currently game at 1440p, might make the jump to 4k in few years when we have 120hz 4k monitors out.

You might not see a jump if you consider 1080p to be the limit, which to me as the gen goes on will be lowest limit for PC gaming.

"I could as of today play any of my old games on my old consoles. But I would rather have all my games on a single platform like a PC."

True i would like all my games in one place. However consider there are issues with console BC:

1. TV tech advances- in the PS2 era we had SD TVs. PS3 era many people bought 720p TVs. Problem is when you hook up a PS2 to a 1080p TV all you see are Jaggies. Same could probably be said f...

@Timesplitter14

While chances for a PC version look slim, i would agree there isnt much else reason to buy a PS4 specially if you have a good PC. I think the PS4 still needs time before it can get exclusives that can make it shine which until now its lacking.

Not a bad idea at all until the platform gets at least 4-5 great games that are exclusive to it.

@Genuine- User

The images are too small to tell much difference, i am sure 1080p or 4k shots will show much greater differences.

On topic

TBH i dont care how much better the PC version looks, since of course it will look better. The more powerful the PC the more distance between the PC and console version, the more time goes on and mods get released PC version will further distance it self from console.

What matters to me is ...

@LamerTamer

On the contrary, console DRM is a lot worse. Can you play PS1, PS2, PS3 games on the PS4? no you cant. You are forced to buy HD remakes or completely give up on your old games. Unless you are willing to maintain all your old hardware and are willing to rebuy it every time it fails and are willing to put up playing a PS2 on your new HD 1080p TV, or a PS3 on your New 4k TV. Have fun with the Jaggies.

Yes you can bad mouth PC DRM, however its still t...

The title of the video is misleading. Watch the Video 58% of the people identified the PC version correctly as it was superior. Even if you ignore the better graphics you cant ignore the smoother frame rate.

Where people got it wrong was mixing up the console versions.

Hence we get the title 64% of the people cant tell the difference.

So again bottom line many people could distinguish the PC version, people just mixed up the console versions....

@drprepperdude

A mid range laptop will never cost you 400usd, thats pretty much low end. Since a laptop comes with a lot more than what a console comes with (screen, speakers etc).

A midrange laptop from 2012 equipped with a 8870m will play most games today at low to medium settings at 1080 30fps which is pretty much close to what a PS4 does.

@angeljuice

You speak as if people need to change their graphics card every month.

Get this a 200 usd GPU of today will run cirles around any console for the rest of the generation.

Upgrading a GPU for a PC gamer is the same as upgrading a console. So if PC gamers can freely get resolution upgrades everytime they get new monitor tech, then its a completely free upgrade.

I am surprised at your comment to begin with, paying for...
