Whats amazing is all the hype the new consoles are getting from the media.
When Xbox 360 released it took a 600usd GPU like 8800GTX to out perform it. Xbone would be outperformed by a 100usd GPU as of today. Mean while PS4 would be out performed by a 200usd GPU.
I would say both of them are significantly weaker at release for what the PS3 and Xbox 360 were for their time.

Pretty much not getting an Xbox one, just sticking to my PC.
How do you know PS4 videos will be instantly shareable? and even if it is how does that improve your gaming experience. Steam has achievements just like PSN has Trophies. I would call both of these things gimmicks.
But since you are so obsessed with the trophies do you know if your precious trophies from PS3 will make it to PS4? I know my Steam achievements arent going anywhere.

Isnt that what they have done at every console launch. Yet they have always fallen short in comparison to PCs. Never mind high end, PS3 couldnt keep up with mid range PCs. Why should the PS4 be any different.

I believe in benchmarked evidence on what really is the real deal. Hard OCP did an article on PCIe 2.0 VS 3.0.
It was observed never mind the 3.0 standard (which is quite new), even the 2.0 is no where near being a bottle neck.
Hard OCP had 3x GTX 680 in TRI sli and 3X HD 7970 in crossfire to prove this point.

Only the GPU part of the APU is reliant on memory performance for its 3D needs, as are all GPUs.
However how good the CPU does is reliant on its CPU clock. Which in this case is very low.

Agreed. All consoles are doing these days is same old rince and repeat. Shooters upon shooters and linear 8 hours campaigns.
Nothing new or innovative, next gen looks to do more of the same just shinier graphics.
With PC you are getting real innovation, different games. I am personally hooked on Dota 2 with over 600 hours on the game and its not even out yet lol.
The author is a console fanboy at best. Specially with some of his points calling PC stagnant. When its the consoles themselves that have been stagnant for the last 8 years.

unfortunately for the PS4 none of those games will be on it, at launch anyways. Its going to have to build the library over years. Essentially PS4 will start life with 0 games.
PC has a library ready and set to go as of today and it can only get bigger as the next consoles arrive. It literally has 1000's of games on board.

As the article suggests consoles just arent reliable as they used to be. Start of this gen 3 of us friends bought the Fat PS3. 3-4 years into its life all our PS3s were dead. Thats 600usd hardware down the drain.

The gen hasnt even started and Devs already are declaring games to be 720p or 30fps.
Its a sad reality that people will need to live upto. Console makers no longer target high end specs like they used to. They just dont want to take a loss on the hardware any more.

Why would you want to go beyond 2GB on a APU like the trinity? Its not like trinity is any good at games and even then a game requiring that much Memory just wont run on the APU to begin with, unless you want to be seeing a slide show.
For dedicated GPUs they already come with super fast GDDR5 Memory.
