you do realise npd does not count digital sales, which is why those numbers are not accurate for the pc.
Most of the ppl i know do not buy pc games from retail anymore. Its al steam or some other digital source.
personally over the last 3years i havent bought any retail games, my steam list has about 80 games on it now.
Digital sales are taking over retail is dieing, once consoles go digital same can be expected. but by then npd probably will start...
pre ordered with steam cant wait for beta.
steam and the rest of the digital distribution network disagrees with you.
check out the 360/ps3 sections, most topics dont get commented on there too, its same for the pc.
Most ppl tend to look at the ALL section and thats where you will find most of the comments. Lastly most games now are multiplat, asides handful of sony exclusives everything else is multiplat which is why comments can be pc/360 or pc/360/ps3 or 360/ps3. Anyways we all know which machine does ...
yep not hard to max out a ps3 or a 360 something console gamers dont like to belive.
after all its 4yr old tech, how hard could maxing that out be.
pre ordered with steam, this game looks awesome.
yea but upscaling a game doesnt add any detail to it.
if a pc was hooked up to a tv and run at 1080p you'd see a big difference.
its a usual attempt by these companies to make console fanbois think their console does 1080p.
still lives ;-)
this is one rts i still play, it just is the best imo.
steam just keeps getting better.
agreed not in terms of exclusives, ps3 wins the exclusives hands down.
but this isnt an exclusive so lets not mix things up.
multiplats on both consoles have always been very simular with pc being superior, this should be no different.
ps3 or the 360 both will be equal in terms of graphics. maybe slightly edging each other out.
and notice when i said 3yr old hardware on the pc which will be doing 1080p.. cant say the same for the ps3 or the 360. hence no there is no comparison.
360 and the ps3 are in the same boat.
@kaelix
let the game release, when the comparisons are out i wouldnt be shocked to see sony's hyped up supercomputer get its butt kicked even by 3yr old pc hardware.
yet the 360 still manages to outperform the ps3 in most multiplats.
by that remark i guess the ps3 sucks even more. Sony came in 1 year late there was no reason not to give ps3 an upto date gpu imo. 360 atleast had a good gpu for its release date. Though sure both of them are ancient by todays standard.
DA pc version goty for me.
if pc gaming were to die, microsoft and sony would shamelessly charge you 100usd per game.
hence its not something to be proud about.
consoles and budget doesnt make sense in the same sentence.
not only are consoles costly, the gaming experience is inferior as well.
I see no point in owning a console aside the handful of exclusives the ps3 has, thats about it.
keep deluding yourself by saying that.
you could get a gaming rig for about 600-800usd, if you already have a pc at home with a dual core cpu all you need is a 150usd gpu upgrade (much cheaper then getting any console) and much better performance.
you cant tell the difference by just seeing the pics alone, good frame rate at higher resolutions means alot.
I bet pc gamers are laughing at you for paying 10-15usd extra per game, aside paying charges t...
indeed these measures are needed.
if microsoft has it their way. they will be charging everyone of us 300usd a piece for their windows and office software..
its just the way microsoft treats its console base.. milk them any way they can.
i am glad pc is a good alternative to xbox.. despite how microsoft tries to kill it off as a platform.
if anything the ps3 and xbox version will be very simular. Xbox live being charged yea that sucks.
if i had to chose between the ps3 or the xbox, i would go for the ps3 version anytime.
Any how regarding the superior version, thats gonna be on the pc ;-) thats the one i am getting.
i wish steam offered a preload for the beta.
