i got most of my snes games saved up on pc.. no other way to play them now.. i aint having boxes laying around taking up space.
not getting a wii and paying for old games again.
some games from the arcade are present on my pc as well.. good old mame.
warcraft 4 would be awesome.
though i still cant stop playing wc3.. still one of the best RTS out there.
thats what i love about PC gaming. Playing older games is almost never a problem.

there hardly are any multiplats on the consoles doing 1080p, the ones that do 1080p are few and far in between and i wouldnt call those the kind of games that push hardware to the edge.
If a game like farcry2, gta4 ran on consoles on 1080p then that would be pushing things.
Pc's (even a 2year old one) the only machine out there that does true HD.
Both the consoles are limited to 720p or below for most ...
well none of the consoles truely do 1080p.
asides afew exclusives even the ps3 is mostly 720p and below.
milkbox cant even claim a 1080p title, so ps3 is superior in that sense.
though even the ps3 out of 300 titles only about 20 are 1080p.. thats less then 10%.
only gaming machine doing true 1080p is the pc.
Pc version might have been crap cause it followed the console standard.
in a comparison between pc vs console.. pc version still wins.
Xbox never was a good value to begin with.
the low price tag was always a trap.
You need expensive accessories to get the Xbox to become fully functional. the same accessories can be had in the market for quarter the price microsoft charges.
plus charges to go online.
id take a PC over the xbox anyday.

@darkstorn- dont think they can patch to make the drives within the ps3 or 360 spin any faster
id think the 5400rpm hard drives within the consoles are the culprit here.. they are just too old.
blame microsoft and sony for charging you the extra 10usd tax per game on their platforms.
as a gamer you should be asking for lower prices across platforms, not asking a cheaper platform (pc) to be raised in prices. If pc games were to become 59usd i am sure console games would be increased to 69usd (thats how microsoft sony make money), now would you really want a 69usd price tag per game?

mw2 shafted = what the console gamers get.
so in console terms pc users didnt get shafted at all, rather the pc version will still be the best looking version.
though i do have reservations at how activision is treating the gamers(pc, 360, ps3), so many copies are sold. is it so difficult for them to give console users dedicated servers as well? specially now that they increased prices even on consoles outside the usa.

Xbox developers dont fully utilise the xbox on purpose, which is why it lags so much behind.
they fear it may fail if fully utilised, thats the reason why halo runs at 540:P

as dchalfont said, the console version lags behind the pc version in all areas of the game.
also mouse keyboard is the way its ment to be played.
asides the better graphics and fps on the pc.
the mouse and keyboard are the real deal for this game.

mines being pre-loaded via steam.. almost done.
giving the rsx a die shrink (it already has received some since the original release).
keep the architecture the same, just up the core clock and give it faster and more memory maybe 768mb of memory, so the gpu wont be something new.. it wont have dx10 or 11 support. however it will be able to render all games at 1080p with 60fps..
now that would be awesome.
