ill wait for reviews on this one. me and a friend might be getting this one on pc.
PC games selling bad, steam and the rest of the digital distribution would like to have a word with you.
Anyways comparing sales figures of games in fanboy stuff. I rather chose the platform which benefits me aka superior graphics, cheaper games, free online and does everything else.
Pc's the most versatile platform out there. I could be playing a game just to alt+tab and write this post.
With services like steam out. Even chatting with friends cro...
@theenemy
sure the pc as a whole may cost a bit more then the console.
though in the long run 1-2years of buying games pc becomes cheaper.
Gaming on consoles is actually alot more expensive then pc gaming. As i mentioned above my older rig still plays games very well. It cost me about 1000usd when the ps3 cost 600usd.
However after 3years of gaming on that rig.. due to price of games, its bargain compared to any console.

farcry 2 running @ 1080p > killzone 2
oh noes lets all pretend 4yr old hardware will never get old.
Seriously console users need to understand things get old, tech moves on. Unfortunately for the ps3 the same holds true.
eh the 8800gtx on my 3yr old rig would put the ps3 to shame lol.
mulitplats running on that old gpu look hell lot better then any of the ps3s exclusives.
whos talking emultions here.
any game made for the ps3, if it was made for pc will run. There isnt a title the ps3 can run the pc cant. Its just a question of the game being developed for the platform is being developed as an exclusive.
If any of the ps3 exclusives were to make their way to a pc. Even a 3yr old pc equipped with a 8800gtx would run it better then a ps3 ever could.
if your laptop has an hdmi output the games can easily be hooked up onto the tv.
lastly the emulated version actually looks like the original. nintendo did a bad job with the virtual console games, they look all jaggied as if an attempt to make a quick buck.
Plus the emulated version has extra features like saving the game at any point.
lol most of the virtual console games have been availble on the pc for long long time.
emulation for the win.
virtual console does a terrible job of bringing old games back. the Pc emulated versions look superior and run better.
cant wait for this.
except a 4yr old pc can be upgraded to a new cpu and gpu for about 200usd and be set for another 3-4years.. cant do the same with a console. still will be @ 1080 on that pc, what will the consoles be doing? 600P @ 25 fps? low res textures no aa lol
its more like gabe is celebrating all the profits steam has been making and an end to another successful year.
while at the ps3 camp sony must be closing their books with another year in losses lol. Hopeing they can recoup these losses, for even more losses for when the ps4 launchs if that ever comes around.
what settings are you playing the game at?
for a 260gtx
i would recommend 1080p high settings (not the highest)
and keep AA turned off. turn motion blur off. game should run fine with these settings.
@mastifchild
UT3 is about the only game on the ps3 that has a modding community.
Most console devs do not like the idea of giving console users the ability to mod games. Since they would like console users to be done with a game, then have money ready for the next game. They do not like longitivity in console games, like games have it on the pc. As an example i still play some very old PC games being CS, warcraft 3.
Notice even if a developer likes...
First for your next gen consoles sake, you better hope pc gaming doesnt die.. you certainly dont want sony or microsoft designing a gpu because they are simply incapable of such a feat.
in regards to pc gaming dieing steam and the rest of the digital distribution retailers say NO :P
developers are only going multiplatform because everyone is in this for the money, the more platforms they cater to the better for them.
so many games which were previo...
if you are upgrading every year then you are doing it wrong and i doubt you really even are a pc gamer.
you guys do realise the only way consoles are able to last 7 years is by cheating on resolutions, AA and lower quality of textures.
I could have pc games running on a 7800gtx even today, which is about 4-5 years old. Though i would have to run the games on little to no AA and i would have run the game @ 1024*768 or maybe even lower, isnt that what most console games run at?
so are constant upgrades needed? in a word NO. If you willing to play at those resolutions...
20usd cheaper for a superior version lol
sucks to be paying a premium for a inferior version.
probably the best looking rts game out there.
