You're saying that anyone who gives the game a '10' is being dishonest about how they feel, and that they don't actually feel the game deserves the score they gave?
People need to realize how ridiculous they sound.
I'll probably still buy it and enjoy it, but has this thrilled or excited me? No, not at all.
During your moment of clairvoyance, did you also predict that this isn't going to be a game that is allowed to be liked? You can't even rate it a 10 without someone attacking the reviewer as a Druckmann sycophant.
You're just making another silly, black and white argument that ultimately says nothing and fails to take nuance into account.
Angry Joe was the kid your mother invited for a play date (that you didn't like) who would get mad and take home his soccer ball if you scored a goal on him.
I guess people find his infantile style appealing.
I think he's full of it with his *saved* *SAVED* *saved* nonsense. It's so easy to take disingenuous cheap shots like that without arguing substantively. The story worked, and the "saving" worked and it served the story.
He's a draggy, tedious, trite, exhausting, coma-inducing bore who nitpicks issues to death and assigns more relevance to himself than he actually holds as a public, YouTube figure, and he fancies himself as a movement starter. He'll cackle and throw his head back when the context doesn't even warrant a chuckle, and he's so undeservedly cocky.
Though he's rational and sensible at times, he's all too often a hypocritical mess, constantly bemoaning imma...

If you breathe, you have an agenda, because it's impossible not to. Everyone has an agenda, and the people that claim they don't are beyond silly. Some, particularly on the right, have really turned "agenda" into a dirty word over the last twenty years.
There's a Fox Nation show called "Lara Logan Has No Agenda" but of course she does. Lara Logan's opinions and whatever messaging are contained within her show a...
See, the point you make about combat is something I actually give ND credit for here, but for a different reason.
We've all played games where we clear out a group of bad guys in an area, just to walk through a door leading to a new area (right next to the area we just finished) with more bad guys. If you think like me you're always puzzled as to why the people on the other side of the door (the next area) didn't hear the massive battle that literally just took...
That's exactly what some conservative gamers and YouTubers have tried to do here. They complain a lot about CC, and I actually agree with them, but here they're doing the same thing because Naughty Dog's messaging doesn't comport with their views.
You're trying to make it 'different' to justify it, but you can't because they're trying to cancel Neil because they don't agree with his political views.
You can't ha...
@starchild
I never made such claims or statements; don't know what you're talking about, buddy. You're clearly in a huff and just raging at this point.
That's fine; rage on. But, maybe make an actual point next time. Make making a point a goal.
Completely agreed.
On top of all that it's just good, brutal fun with such immersive animation and facial expressions. It's so well done; it's true prowess in gamecraft.
Unbelievable on its own, and even more so considering the constraints of the PS4 hardware.
That's total bull.
Copying and pasting is copying and pasting; this is a total refinement with added fluidity including dodging, jumping, proning, proning from run, strafing, vertical attacking, etc, and I think that about covers it.
The movement is far less stiff and much more loose and nimble.
Angry Joe missed a lot of the point, imo.
While I agree with him that some of the characters were just means to an end, I feel the death of Joel stops him from looking at the rest of the story objectively. He was really a Joel/Ellie dream team fan, and NONE of that happened, and all his hopes were DASHED at the outset.
I think his "plot armor" *saved* arguments are born more out of resentment for the way Neil and Naughty Dog chose the story'...
What's wrong with Phil Spencer genuinely congratulating Naughty Dog and Sony on the game? Why would you think "Phil hates Sony with a passion?"
I'd be willing to bet that most of these industry persons know each other quite well and that they're probably mostly friendly with each other. You think Naughty Dog and 343 Industries have animus toward each other? They all know each other. Studio members change hands all the time and everyone knows everyone i...
Yeah, I need to replay that, but Lev's naivety about the world and his adoption of the F word was all good stuff.
No, he's not directly responsible, but he gins up his audience to such a fervor that they go and do that sort of thing. Even if he actively discourages malicious behavior by saying "Don't send death threats" or 'do anything irrational else irrational' it's too late because he's already whipped them into a passionate frenzy.
And for what, because he doesn't like Neil's politics? Jeremy from the Quartering is nothing but a political h...
Imagine making death threats over outcomes in a video game...
They're all a little villain-y dude.
But, that gets broken, with these characters at least.
"Joel was right in his actions and Abby And her dad although coming from a good place were wrong."
Could you please elaborate?
I think Mel and Manny were boring, totally unlikable characters whose best purpose was to forward the plot. Just means to an end.
Didn't care for them at all.
I agree with all of that, but I'm opposed to the public display of confederate imagery; all of it. I don't think it should be displayed on city property. I think it's tantamount to endorsement, and why should anyone endorse the confederacy - especially federal and local government?
I think confederate statues should be lawfully taken down and then perhaps auctioned, as I think there's definitely a market that would appreciate them.
But, I...
