Can I get you a water or something?
I didn't like Mel either, though I understand why she loathed Joel; her being close to Abby's father who called Mel his best student. I get that. But, I didn't care much for her regardless, or Manny. They weren't explored and weren't compelling, they were simply support, especially Manny.
She'll sit in the corner and strum to it.
Redemption-64 is right; you're not entitled to the story outcome you desire. It doesn't matter if you bought the first game and you feel 'invested' in a character or think you "deserve" an outcome; you don't. The story is Naughty Dog's; all of it including both the first and second part. One story, two games, all theirs.
You can express your opinion respectfully though; that's no problem. Nobody should want to silence you, and the peopl...
"you are the one attacking gamers with the different opinion. that's the pattern here. Druckmann fans just can't accept their emperor has no clothes. this is the 1st game he made without supervision and he got exposed."
Do you see yourself? You come into a discussion that you're fully aware will attract fans of the game and proceed to imply 'It's my way or the high way' when you say "Druckmann fans just can't accept..."
Then we could have a non-fictional story that involves Troy Baker going a a blood-filled quest to hunt down and kill Druckmann because he doesn't like how Joel was treated, and then a game could be made of that.
The final act could consist of Troy Baker storming the Naughty Dog studio with an arsenal of weapons ultimately culminating in an epic, violent, hand-to-hand combat scenario vs Druckmann with choking, stabbing, rec area sink-drowning and well placed landmines in...
That's fine.
From what I've seen this is another beautiful world by CDPR to get lost in, and it's currently my most anticipated game.
Precisely.
People keep focusing on the first game and separating it from the second in order to make their arguments of what 'The Last of Us' as whole is, and what they believe is established, but it's still one story. The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part II are one story. Joel is Joel is Joel is Joel; there's no Part 1 Joel and Part 2 Joel because it's one story and one Joel. Tearing Part II away from the first entry is the only way people can try to ...
@joeojoejoe
Lol.
I initially read that as 'Star Wars 313' and I was like "Why would anyone want to make Star Wars in Detroit?"
The sky's the limit at this point; they have the talent and the expertise, and now they have the PS5. We'll see what happens.
I'd love to see some Hellblade gameplay. I want to see how Ninja Theory have leveraged the Series X, and I really want to see how it plays.
Hopefully it's moved beyond the just the runic alignment puzzles and relatively simplistic combat. I really enjoyed playing through the first one, and after seeing that trailer, I'm anticipating something spectacular.
I heard something about Phil Spencer throwing him through a stall door of a men's bathroom in retaliation for comments he made about Phil's children.
None of that is even remotely verifiable and I pulled it out of thin air, but why not, it's the internet.
@Xabi and anyone else who disagreed, I pose the following question, because at this point it demands posing:
If I killed a member of your immediate family, would you at least be justified in disliking me - forget killing me. But, would you be justified in disliking me as someone who murdered your mother or father, or is that totally OK with you?
As of right now, based replies in the context of this story, I'm going to assume that you'd be fine wit...
May his death be swi--I mean, good luck to him in his future endeavors.
Going by your logic (and I hate opening with that) every story is "contrived" or "manufactured." You're basically arguing that characters are immovable, non-malleable, and set in stone for the duration of their presence in a story. So-and-so behaves a certain way in Chapter 1, and so must stay that way for Chapter 2 and every other chapter. So-and-so can't change, or evolve; he must stay as he was in Chapter 1, and if he doesn't, it's a "forced" o...
LOL.
It was a very long game; all things considered, but I felt that it all worked. I admit, there were moments where I couldn't believe the story was still going, but I'm thankful for every bit that was there, because it all worked very well.
@Xabi
If you're incapable of empathizing with Abby, AT ALL, and her situation AT ALL, and understanding why she would kill her father's killer AT ALL, then I truly believe you don't have the context, or haven't played the game. Truly. That's how I feel. If there's nothing about Abby's cause that you can say, "I get why she'd want to do that" then I maintain my position.
@Xabi
But, I haven't been as dismissive as that.
Why are you lumping me into some group I'm not a part of?
@Maga
You can't possibly know that; that first portion is all assumed.
Why did Abby's 'friends' take Abby's side? Well first of all, they're her friends. Mel described a good relationship with Abby's father, who told Mel that she was her best medical student. Joel killed Abby's father and Mel's friend, and they shouldn't be mad over their loss? How/why is Ellie's revenge due to her loss justified and Abby and Fr...
This does look great.
I like the style and the combat looks nice too.
