Completely agree.
Assuming only 5% of those 25,000,000 (25 million) downloads spent at least a dollar, that's $1.25 million. Personally, so long as I can play *almost* the entire game for free, I don't mind if they try to get me to spend money on other things.
"What’s also great here is that CDPR has achieved financial independence. According to Kicinski, the company has $8,32 million which allows financial independence."
That's quite amazing honestly. With the high cost of games these days, coupled with how much effort and detail is put into their games, having $8 million (in cash? funds?) is pretty amazing.
According to VGChartz, The Witcher 2 has sold roughly 1.5 million copies, so if that is anyth...
Agreed. As someone who owns both a PS Vita and a 3DS, this new 2DS is just...laughable. The form/shape is not practical at all, and the lack of 3D pretty much means Nintendo is admitting it isn't a worthwhile feature. While the $129.99 pricetag is nice, the Vita offers so much more at $199 without skipping on features.
And as others said, PS4 remote play + PS Plus are two very strong reasons to consider the PS Vita.
But yeah, the shape of the 2DS is just ...
Still waiting for a proper Tales game on the PS Vita.
I've never even heard of the game...
I posted this for a similar article:
Agreed. Here what the media never discusses (at least not in detail): why is an 8 year old playing an M -rated (17+) game? For such an impressionable age, there is no reason a child should be playing this sort of game.
Let me also point out that there is a difference between regular shooters and games like Grand Theft Auto where players are killing other soldiers (shooters) vs killing anyone and everyone (GTA-like games)....
FFVII would definitely need a complete remaster.
I fully predict FFX/X-2 will outsell Lightning Returns.

Excellent price, especially considering the great games coming for the system this Fall.
*ahem*
I have been following the news, hence why their Kickstarter page still says:
"Which game consoles will Project Phoenix be released on?
Currently we are in negotiations to have our game released on the PS4 and the PSVITA. The negotiations are still ongoing and we are 90% certain we will be able to release on these wonderful devices."
Once that is confirmed, THEN you can "consider it done" ;) Also, yo...
They said they're 90% sure but are still in negotiations with Sony. Not sure why you're getting so defensive, I plan on supporting the game, I just want to make sure they're 100% confirmed to be bringing it to PS Vita :)
Just waiting for confirmation that this game will be made for the PS Vita (natively, not through remote play on PS4, though that's cool too). As soon as they say it's a go, they have my money :)
I must admit, I'm LOVING these indie games on Kickstarter. This will be my 3rd backed in roughly a month. Really looking forward to 2014 and 2015 now :D
Agreed. Sounds like a similar setup to the PS Vita and how it will disable certain system features/functions. I'm all for that depending on the game. ANd it's still .5 GB more than what is available for the X1 so devs shouldn't have any issues with the PS4.
Still, 5.5GB of GDDR5 RAM is more than enough at this point, and I can see Sony reducing the OS RAM overhead as years go on.
The Fall schedule is quickly becoming packed, they may want to hurry up and announce this soon.
I never palyed XII, but I watched my wife play through it, all 80+ hours, and I would love to play this on the Vita/PS3 (HD). I hope that if these sell well, we'll see a remake of XII some day soon.
"But then again....it is Square Enix."
And that's what has me troubled. I mean, to me, your average consumer, there is no logic to charging more for both games on Vita. I like the idea of $20 each, or $40 both both (two cases/carts?). My real concern is SE will release them separately at $30 each and people won't buy.
We'll know soon enough, but my fingers are crossed that I can buy both for $40 total and be done with it :)
I would really like to know how the Vita version is going to be packaged and priced. SE can't honestly expect us to pay more for both games than the PS3 owners ($39.99). I'm also curious to see how large the downloads will be. Perhaps they'll sell it as a bundle, but have 1 game on a cartridge and the other as a downloadable title?
My only issues with the device are that it is only 720p resolution (max output), and it cannot play certain Vita games (touch-heavy). Other than that, I think it's brilliant! Honestly, $99 and you can play Vita games (some) on your TV without having to spend $200+. Especially as a PS4 repeater (of sorts). Instead of having to buy another $400 PS4, I could get this and put it in the bedroom. Granted, it only works if someone isn't using the PS4 in another room, but assuming they're...
