An unfair statement.
Squaresoft left Nintendo before during Final Fantasy 7 development when Nintendo announced they were sticking with the cartrige formate for the N64.
Square needed the storage and abilities of the CD in order to make Final Fantasy 7 according to their vision. That technoligy was in the Playstation. Mind you that they were moving from Nintendo...the only home console provider with millions of fans to the Playstation which had no fans and wa...
I do hope they flush out this game and give it a more unique and more full experience as the first one for me lacked substance.
I'm also curious as to the use/collection of the substance needed to stay alive in the first game. The reason for your declining health was the cold. There's no cold, as the gentleman said, so why is it still seem to be a part of the design.
Also he mentioned a fix to the Mech suits in the game "back and better than ever" ...
I just hate the name "Yellow light of Death" that name itself suggests it's on the same level of the RRoD when it's not.
I've started calling it the FLoF..."Flashing light of Fail"
The medai I'm sure can come up with something better but do stop using the Yellow light of Death. It sounds rediculous.
I have a very bad feeling about this.
Thank you for getting to the heart of the matter. It's still amazing that most sites need 3-4 paragraphs to tell me what you just did in one sentence.
They are fun. Worth the money. Thank you. Bubbles.
Wow. If most people see Japan as unimportant than why would they care about India.
Plus if mots of the Indian people had the money to afford such consoles they would probably spend it all on...you know....food.
I'm not sure if I understand. This game was very highly anticipated until it's release in Japan to a warm reception.
Now no one seems to care...at all.
I am still looking forward to this game.
Edit: It just hit me that this game will get attention when, and only when, the first month sales are release for their respective regions. That is the sadest part of gaming at this point.
This may sound cross but I am really tired of SRPG's using sprites that were from the PS1 era. I know that some companies are not able to finacially do anything about it. Just making the sprites larger and more detailed would be a nice start.
Valkeryia Chronicals being the exception this generation...and a exceptional exception at that.
There was not much gameplay in this teaser. There was a breif few snippets of the main character running through the world which seems in the same vien as Eternal Sonata and Radiata Stories.
The cutscenes seem to be in Anime rather than 3d rendering. The character design of the cutscenes differse greatly from that of the world map and battle.
It still wasn't enough to make any type of call. There was no real interaction with full cities, no lengthy battle ...
Actually, I believe that the Dragon Quest series is more popular in Japan than the Final Fantasy series.
I remember reports when Dragon Quest 8 was released of people in Japan skipping work to play it en-mass. It got sevier enough for some companies to take exstreme messures if they found out if you did take work off for Dragon Quest 8.
The difference being that Final Fantasy has world wide popularity so you will always see higher numbers for it.
I felt the same way, however, when I played Final Fantasy VII or any of the multi disc games for that matter, I never had to insert a previous disc to go to area's that I've already been to. (As was the case with Star Ocean 4)
Imagin breeding chocobo, inserting disc 1 to get the good ones you need, then inserting disc 2 to get the greats, finally disc 3 for the Wonderfuls. All the while continually going back to disc 1 to race them, then back to 3 to buy the appropriate nuts. ...
It is nice to see the PS3 on the offencive for a change since they have been on defence since launch.
This will force both Microsoft and Nintendo to play a different game. That's either a good or bad thing.
When Nintendo was on the defensive they desided to shoot out and tap the casual market en-mass. Microsoft, being pushed back by the PS2, decided to blitzkreig and shoot their product out the gate ahead of the compitition to try and corner the market. Gosh d...
I'm not sure I trust the media on it's opinions anymore.
I remember Lair. When we got articals about previews and the like and they all screamed "Game of the Year." and all it did was add to the hype. Then the game was released and all they could do was pick it apart like rabid hyena's.
I really want to play this game however as it comes from a really good studio and looks interresting over-all.
What I think it is is the Ad-hoc Party software that is in japan only. It allows the PS3 to be a server so you can play PSP games online rather than being in the same room as the other person.
No news of this coming to any other territory though.
Actually I disagree. I think we will see a more class based Call of Duty 4 type of multiplayer experience.
*POSSIBLE SPOILERS TO RATCHET AND CLANK TOD*
Crack in time probably means Ratchet being sent back in time to were his race hadn't been eradicated by emporer Zerg yet. That would explain the additional Lombax in the picture.
Either that or the crack in time could mean that a lombax from the past went to the futur to help Ratchet/bring him back/whatever awesome idea Insomniac comes up with.
Theories aside, I'm looking forward to another fun Ratchet ...
In all fairness the camera in this scene could be pushed back to allow you to see such an infested area and to allow the cyclops riding mini-game. The game may be more "zoomed in" in other areas.
My...ears...are....bleeding. Damn I hate english dubs. Grown women trying a little to hard to sound like young girls.
You'd think with 5 liscensis involved they could have uped the overall look of the game. This could have been released as a PSP title from the look of it. The real question being..."Why didn't they?"
Still dont know much about it yet but the cast looks good, the gameplay looks familiar and friendly, just have to wait. Please give th...
not sure if you were being sarcastic but I dont think its in a hack'n'slashes best interest to place an over the shoulder view on a character from a design perspective.
Its in funs best interest to be able to see what is attacking you in a fast paced hack'n'slash like God of War. An over the shoulder would limit you to tunnel vision and there would be hours of frustration after you die time and time again from enemys to the side and back. Not to mention the fluid acrobatic co...
I have no doubt that the team at Kojima Studios will impress us with Metal Gear Rising, however the fact that Kojima is not involved in the prodject is a consern.
I felt the same consern with God of War 2 after hearing that Jaffe would not lead the project. I am feeling the same thing over God of War 3 (though the demo did help to quell some of the fears)
Though we have not seen anything on the gameplay of Rising, I suspect a more fast paced action adventure gam...
