Hmm. You just made my point. =P
Square is gaining the most money it can by using both platforms to sell it's product. When one console outpaces the other then games will come more for that system. All I did was explain the year long delays between Xbox360 releases and the PS3's.
Edit: I never said it was Square Enix's goal to make a multiplat utopia, I was staying that for right now they are trying to maximize their sales in this mixed market.
Will I do agree Square Enix is to blame but I feel you misunderstood his quote.
I interpret it as he doesn't want to the PS3 to be the clear cut winner or loser, he wanted to draw in revenue from every available resource.
High profile games are very expensive to develop (regardless of system). They know that in order to draw in the most money they need to release on both consoles. However, they also know that the Xbox 360 is none too popular in Japan and a simu...
This just goes to show what happens when a good developer listens to what the gamers have to say.
It's these types of qualities that put Naughty Dog in front of the pack this generation.
Can't wait to experience their game for myself.
Actually, in my opinion,I think owning both consoles causes more trouble than it's worth, especially this generation.
I expected a high number, but this forecast is incredible.
Was there a Final Fantasy XIII bundle I wasn't aware of?
Have a care for the word "gamer", you'll ware it out.
In this generation the term has become fragile, fleeting, and dragged through the mud. Show some respect too it.
It read like a blog entry rather than an article.
While I am very excited about this game, I am using caution as I do have my fears.
From watching the developers walk through I am worried about the monotony of the money system. If you look at the prices for some of the items 150-200 and the numbers from theft 2-7 we could be looking at many many hours of painful money grinding. That is unless a monetary reward is given for assassinations and other tasks.

Taken as is, this game is a great nostalgic trip back in time to childhood. Seeing the arcade cabinet out at your local wall-mart frantically searching for a quarter to see how far you could get before you were pulled off the machine.
The reason the reviews frown on this titles is because compared to the standards of games today, it falls rather short. They could have done so much better in vamping up this game. A graphics upgrade hardly covers up the dated gameplay.
"Sony Launches Integrated Marketing Push For PS3"
They'd be silly not too.
Informitive.
At first he mentioned that the large ball at the end was there for development reasons but at the end he mentioned it giving visual feedback to game data, so is the ball at the end subject to change such as getting a bit smaller. Or is size important to the camera's ability to track it at 60fps/120fps.
We are seeing some good results already even in the basic development. It will be interesting to see what the developers will want to do with this a...
A friend of mine has been using this feature for awhile for Monster Hunter.
It's long over-due for Western shores.
I think Microsoft in this generation wanted to have more JRPG's as they wanted to convie the image of "We have it all" rather than a FPS machine. While they have done that I don't think they really have an exclusive "Must have" rpg, which I am guessing is why they aquired Final Fantasy. Lost Odessey may have been the best selling, however, I feel that while the sales may have been low, Valkerie Chronicals was the most enjoyed by me and others lucky enough to experience i...
They will probably announce a few Mega Man X re-releases for the PSN/XBL (though I am not sure if it can come to XBL seeing as how they were released as Playstation titles.) As well as a few other Capcom classics coming to those stores.
Would I be wishing to hard if I said SF3: 3rd Strike? Probably.
We will probably get a glimpse of the Current titles being worked on. Possibly something about an update to Street Fighter 4 (SFIV:Dash as some call it).

These two characters seem to have very similar demeanors to Kefka and General Leo from FF VI (as another poster pointed out). Though only the story will tell if they are indeed truly similar.
What makes a story truly great are the antagonists, without them there is nothing for the hero to overcome. Unfortunately, I haven't enjoyed the villain of a Final Fantasy since Sepheroth.
Kefka was good because he had a full-blown case of the crazies.
I remember hearing that of the 3 variations of the Xbox 360, it was the Pro model that is getting the most sales(though I don't think there is any way to confirm this other than Microsoft releasing the numbers).
Going under that assumtion, the Pro was $299 already, so nothing I think will change for Microsoft's consoles-per-month sales except an increase in the sales of the Elite models.
" "The English voice overs will be properly lip synced. Dual language options, however, are unlikely."
I was hoping otherwise."
You and I both. I was hoping such a feature would become standard this generation.
Pass or Fail? My outlook is more on the more immediate future. Saying it will pass or fail is looking at the end of the road but there is so much more that happens between now and then. I am more curious about;
Their respective release dates, their cost (gonna be important), titles available at launch (even more important).
Will Microsoft bundle "Natal" with future Xbox 360's? Will it be available as a separate stand-alone unit?
Will ...
It's just a matter of personal preference is all. I personally like hearing the game as the director intended it. If you dub something you are in a way applying your own interpretation to the dialog even if it's word for word.
The emotions expressed, the subtleties all part of the directors person vision. Something is always lost in translation.
I know some don't like to read subtitles or the original voices grate on their nerves, but that's why an option woul...
Fair enough, so long as they include the origanal japanese voice over. In this day and age it should aways be an option.
I agree.
Of what was stated that part excited me the most.
