I hate this "Game x" vs "Game y" stuff, cuase it's always PS3 vs Xbox 360. When two different games are compaired they whip out content, online ability, replay value etc. If it's the same game on both consoles they look at load times, frame rates, pop up etc. Kinda bothers me.

Unfortunatly, The new Samurai Showdown game has been confirmed as having 2.5 graphics with a new juggling system that is similar to Tekken.
Not so sure about KoF, but I know I was really urked when I found out about Samurai Showdown going 2.5. It seems they are simply afraid of doing 2D fighting games.
Good gameplay. The only thing that is bothering me is Crimson Vipers chest as odd as that sounds. Look how her tie rests on her chest, it gives the impression that the chest is just bubbled from her neck down to her mid-waist.
I hope the game has just as much polish on the consoles. Let's hope that they fix any issues seen in arcades (such as infinits) before release.
This and Super Turbo; HD Remix are what I am waiting for.

Looking forward to this game. When I heard Sega was dropping publishing rights of the fanchise I was a bit worried it might not hit the states.
In a suprise move, Ubisoft picked it up, glad they did. Lets hope they support both consoles in ALL regions equally. Sega had a tendancy to drop the PS3 servers, and only released up to Reg. 1.4 on the PS3 in the USA.
Golden Eye didn't have the best shotgun, but I think it deserves and honorable mention since you can break your accuracy with it.

Why do people in this generation need a 10/A+/100% what have you, to be interested in a game? I mean if it makes a 9.0 it's a "first day buy", but a 8.9 and it's "wait for the bargin bin"?

The goal should be to take the idea and move to the next level with it. God of War is a prime example as noted. As the second one featured many tweaks and upgrades that when compaired to the first we wonder why we put up with less.

Good to hear something about this game. I hope the year of silence has been well spent working hard on the game to be the best it can be. Perhaps we'll hear of it, or better yet, see Level-5's RPG in action at TGS or sooner.
After watching video's of Tekken 6 in action I can say that the only things I think that needs to be fixed (if they fix anything) are the overall damage ratio's and the new "bounce" juggle system, which I think should be removed since now the juggles carry on way longer than they have to.
As far as the 1% health comeback; it happens in all fighting games but I will agree that Tekken is more prone to them due to the juggle and damage problems mentioned earlier. In SF3...
Wonderful screens, however, I wish that they would stop doing 3rd party stills during multiplayer. I know they want to show the multiplayer aspect, but still, a screen showing what the individual player will be seeing would be equally enlightening.
What I don't understand is, in Call of Duty 4 it was ok to shoot Middle Easterners, in Call of Duty 5 it's ok to shoot Japanese (I am still wondering why the game has a Japanese release date)..but in Residant Evil when you want to shoot Zombie's who just so happen to be black, the media has a kitten.

Yes, the software for the Xbox 360 is selling more than the PS3, but one has to remember the difference in the number of consoles within regions.
The USA is a hub of spending and as long as the Xbox 360 install base is greater than the PS3 in that region you will see the 360 selling more.

The problem's stated have been in exsistance LONG before video games. Give people the knowledge to protect themselve from irresponcabilty. Don't Shield us from it and hope it will all fix itself.
Bottom line: Video Games are NOT the problem.
EA was responsable for the port, so they are largly to blame for the PS3 copy of the Orange Box.
However, I think Valve is equally to blame for not even attempting to develop for the PS3 in the first place.
