I've honestly seen better fatalities for the Origanal Mortal Kombat for the SNES.
Then again, how would you feel if you were told, "Listen, you know these hero's we've grown up with. Yeah the ones that you look up to that save the day, that fight for good against evil. Yeah, we need you to make them kill people."
Dhalsims teleport cross-up is nasty. I think it's because the opponent takes awhile to turn around alowing Dhalsim to hit cross-up fashion. Also becuase he has very little use for EX moves he can store his super up also, which can be combo'd if the cross-up happens.
Although I was suprised that I did not see Abel, Rufus, or Sagat. Those three are really dominating the arcades arcoss Japan.
Oh on another note: Didn't know you could do hit with Raging Demon whi...
Over powered much?
Every time I look at him I can't seem to like the design for Gouken.
I always figured he would be opposite of the Gouki, small in stature and muscle, not a Macies Day float.
A good experience is a good experience, regardless of length.
How would you rate Fighting Games then. Matches only last an average of 2 or so minutes. What makes it worth it? The answer is fun.
Was it fun? It your personal response to the game that makes it of value to you. Wether or not a person has fun at a game is subjective and can not be scored, should not be scored.
How much fun you are having tells you how long you play the game, it t...
Nice to see them in game. Also this is the first I've seen of Gouken in the game as well.
Hope these new characters keep the teir list as close as it was before.
And an exceptional PS3 game goes overlooked in the wake of Resistance 2 vs Gears of War 2 fanboy wars.
This site can be so cruel sometimes.
I think the term "AAA Fighter" should wait until the game is released. Don't you?
It's about were I pegged it for a release frame, however, I was unaware this was coming to the Wii. For that matter I was unaware of a Dead Rising for the Wii as well.
I think what tatical means is that the origanal sprite designs were downgraded from highly detailed, highly rendered art to what you see now. That was done to keep the overall size of the downloadable game within standards.
I believe it is still 1080p.
I think some of his conserns are valid if a bit un-thought out.
The tier notion is always a problem for fighting games. There will always be characters that stand out in a fighting game. However, I think it is nice to remind others that this game was created more for the casual "play to have fun" crowd rather than the blood thirsty hardcore crowd. Those that play to have fun, do not care about winning and will play with any character that they like. Even tournamen...
Excellent. Knew this was comming but it is nice to see them in game on release and not "pay to play" as seems to be the trend.
Can't wait to see Fie Long in action. Depending on how he performs he may replace Ryu as one of my top two picks.
Perhaps its time the get rid of seprate scores entirly. After all, it is the same game, the only diffence is it is on seprate consoles. So in essence the terms "Ps3 version" or "Xbox 360 version" should not apply.
In fact why not get rid of final scores entirly. Simply do the review like normal but simply don't give them a final grade. Let the words of the reviewer speak the issues of both as they have been doing and let the consumer decide, instead of e...
Personally, I think TriArch is using Call of Duty 4 as a spearhead rather than a hurdle. They don't have to beat Call of Duty 4 they just have to BE Call of Duty 4.
All reports have showed that it looks like Call of Duty 4, plays like Call of Duty 4, feels like Call of Duty 4. Have you seen the box picture of Call of Duty World at War? Look familiar? (I.E Call of Duty 4) All they have to do is ride the wave of Call of Duty 4's success this Christmas.
Call ...
I am enjoying this game. It is set as a more Traditional JRPG, and that's what I was looking for.
If used correctly DLC is a very effective method for developers do bring players new, exciting things to their favorite games when they may have become stale. However, when used inappropriatly such as making players pay money to unlock items already on the disk, or charging to much, then it's definatly not worth it.
Bottom line is; If people keep buying they will keep making it, for better or worse.
What game dropped in Japan for the PSP? The numbers for it are incredible.
The numbers are telling me that HD is still not that big in Japan an neither console has much to offer the territory. Once HD goes standard in Japan the real game begins.
Sweat.
However, "Winter" means earliest December and March at the latest. This also the estimated time for the the Arcade release and makes no mention of the console versions.
This game has been out of sight for a year. TGS will be the first we've seen of the game since it's gone into hiding, and already it seems we are jumping down Sony's throat for release dates.
Best anyone can hope for is a window at this point. It drops Dec 25th in Japan this year, so I am guessing a March or June release for the states followed by the Euro release a few days/weeks later.
Please don't let hype kill this game.
Never said I was ungrateful. Honestly you didn't even have to go that far to prove yourself, but I know there are alot of nah sayers and non-believers trying to discredit you so you did what you had to do.
Not complaining.
Would like to know the sales of HDTV's during the course of that time. The sales of HDTV's will set the curve for Blu-Ray since HD is not the widely used format right now still.
After all, what good is something as good as Blu-Ray when you don't have anything worth playing it on?
