Hollywood has been blaming the video games for awhile I believe. However, the only ones Hollywood has to blame is itself.
After almost 100 years of telling stories with film, things have sort of dried up. No one wants to tell a story anymore, they just want to be the next biggest Box Office smash. Making a movie and tell a story is art, but now it has become more of a busness than an art and as a result has sufferd from it.
And with the constant saturation o...
A closed beta, I feel, is all they need for this title. Sure, it would be great to be able to play this months before it's actual release. However, from a developers standpoint, an open beta isn't nessessary.
This isn't a combat style game so they do not have to worry about balance issues or the like. All they really need to worry about is getting the connection and file sharing system down.
Since this is an in-house developer for Sony, they will more than l...
I think we should give HD some time to develope itself.
HD is fairly young, and in it's infancy when it comes to gaming. You can not expect to get the highest possible( 1080p) right out of the gate. Things like this take time.
Personaly, I think all this busness with HD resolution and X Pixals > X - 1 pixals = A good game. What happened to when a games reputation was based off of how fun it was?
Just remember that you can have just as mu...
In truth, a game only needs to answer one and only one question to be good
"is it fun?"
And honestly, no one can answer that for you. So I guess you'll just have to play it and find out.
Compair? VS? I hate when people try to instigate the inevitable conflict of "Ps3 vs Xbox 360"
Why not do a constructive artical on Gears compaired to Gears 2 or Resistance to Resistance 2?
At least that would be insiteful, and not another "My console has a bigger d*ck than your console" argument.
This, unfortunalty, is S.O.P for Ubisoft. Many would arugue that reveiws don't entirly matter on such things. If they didn't, then publishers such as Ubisoft and Take-Two wouldn't place embargos on what they believe are "less favorable" reveiws.
This saddens me.
Why do they keep using that word (disaster)?
I don't think it means what they think it means.
It sounds like the reviewer was hunting for Gold and founnd Silver instead. Valueable but still not what he was looking for. Based on current titles that are out now, and the pedegree of the developer involved, he may have been overly critical.
Please do not tought the the "It's Exclusive so it has to be better quality" banner. Remember, this title was being developed multiplatform before it was announced exclusive a few short months ago. If you expect a small d...
From what I've seen, the majority of games that require the X Gigabyte install are games that are multiplatform (Hot Shots Golf is the only non-multiplatform title that I have seen).
Now to my understanding, this game was origanlly slated as a Multiplatfrom title up until a couple of months ago. That means that up until a few months ago, they were developing on both consoles. Then (around March if I remember) the game was confirmed as a PS3 exclusive (I've also heard timed)...
To sum up:
There will be battles of a much larger, less hindered scale in the game. As well as a expressed consern for the "meat-sheild" mechanic in multiplayer should it make an apperence.
They only know just as much as we do, but I don't think this interview was worth posting.
This is probably the most well-rounded line up I have seen the Xbox 360 have. There seems to be something for everyone.
I think sequil is the wrong term to be used for games as well as movies in general.
People expect to much from a sequil and are subsiquently disappointed.
Think of Gears of War 2 as the next Chapter in the saga. When you think of it as a chapter you come to expect less from it and can enjoy it for what it will be.
It works for me anyway.
I am not so sure it will go by the Name Metal Gear Solid. Metal Gear yes, but Solid? No. I don't think so anyway.
Also Kojima has already announced this will be his last Metal Gear game so I thought. Without him I am not sure where the series would go or if I'll like it when it get's there.
I am hoping for a "step up" from God of War 3. Not from a graphical standerd but a design one.
God of War 2 had certain design improvments over God of War that really helped it shine. Better rounded boss fights, more enjoyable puzzles, and the ability to turn off Rage of the Titans modes for those people that accidently hit both L3 and R3 becuase I am to wraped up in trying to dodge 4 Mintorous in Titan mode.
I honestly think that Dav Jeffe couldn...
Bless that man. I was touched by his words.
Japanese and Western philosophies are different. The Japanese seek to express themselves to create an art, a work they can be proud of.
Westerners seek to create revenue, to become the next big thing. With true self expresstion and creativity taking a back seat to popular game types and casual audience interests.
I am saddened to see such Western philosophies leaking into the Japanese developers....
The game is very good as I am lead to understand, and it is selling well. Shouldn't that be enough?
This type of reflection is fine. It's nice to see where we have been and where we are now.
However, I don't think we will see such a difference in the series should EA assimilaite Take-Two. Just my opinion.
I do agree about politicians and moral cruisaders. However, I wise man once said "A societies foundation is based off of it's morals. With out them, it is doomed to collaps." The trick is finding what is truly morally wrong and what is harmless.
As for the others; Hey the disc changing thing could be alot worse you know, Imagin this: "Disc 1 complete. Look for Disc 2 in stores 2009."
Nothing on this list save the poloticians and the b...
I as well am hoping for a ZOE 3.
Rest assured whatever he has plans to make will be a game worth playing.
The game looked bloody good from last I saw of it. They've given themselves plenty of time to work out the oddities. A constructive delay is always welcome.
