It's not the games from your past that change, it's the player.
While the author does name some games he believes have lost their appeal he doesn't really go into to great a detail as to why. That's cause he can't. Goldeneye for example he makes mention of the controls. Naturally it would be more difficult to control an FPS using a controller with only one analog stick.
What you should look at are what shooters have let you experience that you now demand. ...
This may be out there but I think we can expect an anouncment of Halo 3 coming to PC for Windows 7. Seems the pattern with the main franchise is to wait for a brand new entrance in the Halo series then re-release the previous game for PC. It will also help push Windows 7.
I know sequels will happen but honestly I never get excited for them. I like to play new things and be exposed to new concepts, new ideas or mechanics. Nothing excites me more at E3 than hearing about brand...
Capcom probably saw it more cost effective. The game was built for the PC and has already been released for the PC for over a year now.
They could easily move the game to the Xbox practically over night with nearly no cost to them. This appose too many development hours transfusing PC code to the PS3 and if they don't know what they are doing may yeild unpleasant results.
Capcom also, probably, believes that because the Xbox 360 is the more numerically popular...
I can't seem to find any information that relates to that but I think It wouldn't reflect too accurately on the fate of this particular port.
Instead I would rather focus on gathering specific information about the title such as; the price of the game on release, for instance, will it be $60? Will it include the DLC from the released PC version(if any) or will you be charged extra? Will there be linked servers to connect PC and Xbox 360 players?
I think the an...
This game was originally released on the PC I believe back in 2007 under a subscription fee of $15.
Monster Hunter Wii also had online support during it's release last year (I think).
The Monster Hunter Freedom PSP games are online accessible through the free to download application Ad-Hoc Party through the PSN store, which allows PSP games that would normally require two or more people standing in the same room the chance to play the game online.
I believe it was confirmed by the developers that it would have no form of online or off-line Co-op. The reason given was that it would break the balance of the game they were trying to achieve (if I remember correctly).
The real case is that this game is Tecmo's attempt to bring a game with a more western feel to their shores. Unfortunately, the Japanese people are a very shy people and find it difficult to interact with strangers even in an online fashion. I'll take that...
This complaint in the confined group of the Ps3 comuminty has been around since the firmware that launched with the Slim Line Ps3's. It seems to primarily hit older model Ps3's 20's 40's 60's and sometimes 80's.
When my Ps3 Blu-Ray drive failed I had just started playing Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time, so I think it just comes down to the game you are playing when your Blu-Ray Drive decides to go.
I fixes it myself through replacing the Blu-Ray drive since...
I just think people need to remember that this is a Japanese game created by Japanese developers with the Japanese people in mind. With the issue of "running and gunning" its very difficult for the Japanese to move both right and left analog sticks at the same time. I'm not at all sure why I've heard rumor it makes them motion sick to move character and camera, I've also heard that its like rubbing your stomach and patting your head to them and they find it uncomfortable.

Armored Core: 4 and For Answer weren't that bad, though my personal favorite is still Last Raven.
I too am hoping for a Armored Core that improves upon the series's ongoing short comings. Hopefully we'll know soon.
My honest guess, its the next installment in the Armored Core series. Lately all we have seen since AC: For Answer are ports of previous Armored Cores on the PSP. They are about due for another high system game.
True in that there is a better result when a game is lead on the PS3 and then ported and Sega shouldn't be blamed for that.
However, I don't think we should be blaming Platinum Games either. We don't know all the facts, and drawing a conclusion to the contrary is a bit reckless.
So are you suggesting that a studio needen bother developing a game unless they have the money, man power, and resources to dedicate to building a game from the ground up on multiple systems?
That's unrealistic.
I did hear rumor that a patch was coming from Sega to fix the load times issue for the PS3 release of the game (though nothing else).
I'll be picking up this game within the week, though after reading the reasons why some people won't be picking this game up, I must say I don't fully understand the logic behind that decision.
I understand what you are getting at. Though God of War 3's demo was a very early built in terms of graphics and reports say that they have exponentially increased.
I'm not sure I understand your other argument though. You say God of War brings nothing new yet you then say you enjoyed Dante more because it was the same enjoyable gameplay you already know. The only difference is setting and story. Honestly, I suggest you read the original epic poem before you play the full g...
I disagree.
While Farrari makes great sport cars and racers, what about 4 door salons? Off-roaders? People carriers? For those areas you would compar them too BMW, Mercaydes, Range Rovers, or Fords.
My point is that while they are all cars its what the car does that stands for the basis of comparison. While Bayoneta and God of War may both be hack n' slash as a means to an end, they are both very different types of hack n' slash.
God of War is ...
They don't separate the regions when they develop a game. They wait till it's finished THEN butcher it region by region.
You're Japanese, SquareEnix, and you make Japanese games. That's fine. What you don't have to do is insult me by changing your products because I'm a westerner and I just might not "get the reference".
I play games and watch movies from other countries because I want to be exposed to THEIR cultures, philosophies, and methods. ...
To be honest this is the first "article" that I have seen in awhile here at NG4 that has touched on the issue.
I can't say with any certainty that the problem does/doesn't exist anymore but I can say that because of the history of product it does make people alot more shy about trusting the hardware, trouble or no trouble.
I think the trouble still exists its just dead to the media.
It's been accepted as a truth among consumers that yes the Xbox 360 has a higher rate of failure than normal. It seems common knowledge and there isn't much need to discuss it further.
The 3 year extended warranty on the Xbox 360 that covers the R.R.O.D ,as its called, seems to be enough for most.
Its a bit misleading. He's merely stating basic advice for athletes that may play video games. Things like moving across times zones, the night before activities, after being injured etc. and how these activities are affected by gaming.
Most of it makes sense.
Um...about the comparisons...
Isn't it true that the Xbox 360 version of the game had 3d rendered character portaits not the traditional 2D anime? I was led to believe that the 2d anime portaits were exclusive to the PS3 international version.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
