Ashame. Only one fighter from the Samurai Spirits series and no one from the Last Blade series.
Thank you. At least one person gets it. The game isn't ment to be seen as a simple 3rd person shooter. The replayability is souly what the player themselves puts into it.
The goal isn't to see what there is to see and be done with it. The goal is to continue playing the levels over and over improving completion time, ammo used, accuracy etc. It's based on player self improvement through repitition. A player could easily spend more than 15-20 hours on the g...
Oh look, a high profile game got delayed. Guess it's time to make a "Delayed games list."
Oh look a game that uses cover, time to make another "Best cover based games" list.
Oh look, a game with amazing graphics, time to make another "Best Graphics in video games" list.
Like clockwork.
The problem doesn't souly rest on the shoulders of the familiarity of those mechanics continuing to sell games. Its the blatent calls for sequils and threequils that worries me the most.
I know that people want to play more of the amazing game that they just played to the max but honestly that's what DLC was supposed to be for. The introduction of small content packages to please the fans of the title while the devs can continue to do new things.
Unfortunatly, I'm one of those few people that enjoyed the first game more than the second. This game looks more of the second installment with Multiplayer and a keen emphasis on micro-managment.
I do hope the trophies are a bit more challenging for people that will enjoy this game though. A silver trophy for simply stepping into the animus in Assassin's Creed 2, really Ubisoft? Very easy lackluster trophies in the.
When the most challenging ...
Gameplay wasn't sacrificed in Metal Gear Solid 4, gameplay time was. The game play was wonderful Metal Gear stealth gameplay and a wonderful quality at that. I don't feel that sacrifice to gameplay on a mechanics level to the development of the story. Well I suppose you could if say you had a pilot simulator game and the main character crashes, loses his right arm and becomes blind yes I can see where the gameplay might be affected by that turn of events. Even with that the develo...
The answer your looking for is found in the same answer as to way the most popular and succesful movies and games in the west involve gorey gratuitous violence and guns.
There is just a cultural difference between the two territories. Nothing wrong with that. Our expressions and art are affected by our history and our culture. It's no different for any other society.
You may not understand it, even find it off putting. However, they understand...
The MMO StarWars: The old Republic is the direct continuation, as mentioned by the developers, of the Knights of the Old Republic series. In essence this MMO is KOTOR 3 and is often refured to as such.
I don't believe we will see a single player game in the vein of KOTOR 1 or 2 for some time.
The reason for this most of the issues with playstation users is that the developers wanted a control sceme that would fit the the Xbox and Ps3 at the same time.
How you hold both controllers is very different. On the Xbox 360 pad your index fingers rest on the triggers naturally. On the Dualshock your index fingers rest on the shoulder buttons. To hit the bumpers on the 360 you are forced to flex up and this awkward to sustain it for long periods of time. On the Dualsh...
Unfortunatly, I found the demo very lack luster and unimpressive. It just didn't grap me the way it seems it has to some. It bored me. Spamming seemingly fickle force abilities was enough to lay waist to everything. The lightsabers honestly seem a pointless endevor as your force ability seems to recharge at an increadable rate.
Chacters that have that much power to me are uninteresting because of the fact that they have so much power. The only thing that challenge...
Releasing a game that is not up to par with Poly's own personal level of quality is what would be excusable.
Given the explination, a few weeks extra to the release is an inconvinience at best. We'll live.
Next I personally hope to hear the return of the segmented health system from the first game.
It, to me, is the best health system applied to a shooter so far. Absolutely brilliant.
Does that VO mean "voice overs"?
If that's the case, the demo had multi-language options including the orginal Japanese voices.
Sorry if that's not the case.
Tachibana Ukyo.
Also, any character you can think of from the Last Blade series.
Be fair, I don't recall them giving an excuse for leaving off the second stick in the first place.
Remember the PSP is a Japanese console. The Japanese are uncomfortable with using 2 anolog sticks at the same time. We see examples of this throughout gaming.
Perhaps this translated into the design of the console. It obviously wouldn't be a missed feature to the east, though to the West it's painfully absent .
I personall...
This is honestly a bad review. Uninformitive at least. They talked nearly nothing, in the way that a 5 year old would desribe a game. "The game is ugly, the weapons aren't cool enough, and the game is a Gears of War rip off." All well and fine but that isn't how you are supposed to inform an audiance about the possitive or negitive short-commings of a title.
They almost should have wrote "Well, the internet said that it was Gears of War, but it...
Shooters sell. And sell well. As long as shooters such as Halo and Call of Duty and Gears of War are selling millions of copies on launch we will continue to see publishers try to carve a slice of that market for themselves.
Do we have too many? Ehhh I'm not sure. Though I do know I would like for developers to start thinking for themselves in terms of the the genre's growth. When a shooter gains huge success and does what it does well, developers will simply ...
I enjoyed MGS4, and it continues to be a gem in the PS3's library. However, I enjoyed MGS3 much much more. I had several issues with MGS4 most of them minor. The story sometimes got convoluted and long winded in spots. The boss battles while wonderful as they were lacked emotional depth. The gameplay however was spot on Metal Gear Solid.
MGS3, the story was much more to the point and simpler (complex stories do NOT mean better). The boss battles as well were brill...
I made an observation about those two items because they are destintivly western in design. Dante shares now those same features with Drake from Uncharted, Cole from Infamous, and countless other western developed movies and comics. Even the Japanese use these features to differentiat western characters from eastern in their own manga and video games.
Again, this was an observation of what Dante now has in common with many other western male protaginists. No matter wha...
Could someone more familiar with Modern Warfare please explain how he was killed at 3:55? Thanks. ^_^
