Microsoft seems to play it very conservite when it comes to new tech.

If there is no immediate gain to be had from it they arn't willing to invest.

If you think in terms of a direct parrelle in gameplay of Dissidia to the PS3 then yes that would be dissappointing. However, Dissidia in terms of gameplay was limited by the PSP both in graphics power and application given that the PSP does not have the same number of buttons as the Dual Shock 3.

If you can imagin what Nomura could do with the PS3 and the Dual Shock 3 as well as a design outside a 1 vs 1 fighting game then it gets very exciting.

They placed Medal of Honor in a modern setting. Tell me as shooters go how is the gameplay supposed to differ between shooters based in the same location using the same forces and the same weapon tech?

Honestly, players must have known that when Modern Warfare 2 sold millions that all modern setting shooters would play and behaive like it did.

Unfortunatly, DICE had already released Bad Company 2 and that is in a modern setting as well. Having created t...

I'm genuinly interested in what this man has in store. He has a wonderfully creative mind and I, unfortunatly, believe that Square is holding him back.

This will definatly be the game to watch for at the Tokyo Game Show.

Expect more gameplay in the range of Dissidia: Final Fantasy. I remember an interview that what he wanted from Versus 13 battles were to bring a playable version of Advent Children to life.

I expect similar gameplay to Dissidia applied to the battle system. This isn't official but it's what I'm expecting as it's what I've heard.

Also I think we will see a system where you can free switch real time between characters (if more than o...

I believe the reason is that this price is what pre-orders will be recorded with.

If they made it say 79.99 as you mentioned let people pre-order on that then brought in the full retail price of anything above 79.99, it's illegal. It's fine the otherway, starting at 150 and going down after to 80. So by starting the price at 149.99 they can lower the price a bit if they have to stimulate pre-sales.

This placeholder just means that it will be no...

That "me too" attitude you are speaking of is just buisness.

If you own a buisness stocking a specific product and your compitition next door is selling something you don't in the same feild as you and is getting more customers in the door with it, you don't sit and wait for the fad to die out. You start to sell what the public wants.

Sony and Microsoft arn't re-inventing the wheel, they don't have to. They just have to get t...

I think this is one of the largest problems of modern gaming.

Infamous 2 isn't even out yet and already people are asking about and speculating an Infamous 3.

Uncharted 2 hasn't even been out a full year and people are already dogging Naughty Dog about the 3rd installment.

What's worse is even if those are announced, the first question they will ask the devs is "When can we expect the next installment?"

And in an hour an artical with the headline "Ten Reasons why you should get the Kinect." will appear probably from the same site even.

I'm wondering if the subscription will be comparable to Final Fantasy XI's.

Also I'm already dissappointed that the game will not feature both English and Japanese voices. The seeming excuse that the developer made was that the game will be altered to English lip syncing. I'm sorry but that's not a valid excuse for me.

Why does it seem that every JRPG coming out supports the dual language option except those released by SquareEnix? ...

That may be an issue if they are working on bringing it to the console.

If Sony announces that they are working on getting it to the platform and it turns out that the methods they are using arn't working and they are forced to cancel the prodject it would be a P.R nightmare.

By remaining silent on the subject they don't risk face. They constantly admit that they are aware of the public appeal of it, at the moment I think that's all they can ...

Rare holds the development of the game as a company and I think that's why they decided to go with a remake rather than a download of the origanal game. If they rebuild the game under a different developer they can fully bypass politics with Rare.

I had heard that Nintendo and Microsoft couldn't come to an agreement about the game and that's why we havn't seen it in download form from Microsoft or Nintendo.

I'm sure alot of politics had to happen before this game started development.

Although Nintendo has exclusive rights to the video game, I'm sure the studio that owns the rights to James Bond had something to say. As a result they had to remove Peirce Brosnan and replace him with the currently contracted James Bond, Daniel Crieg.

Although one of things that made the N64 game great was Rare's ingenuity of bringing a Shooter to a console. As ...

I'm afraid, from what I've seen, I'm truly not as impressed as others seems to be.

On a technical level, this is a very impressive title, and to me that's were it ends. Do I like the visual style or the art design of this game? No. While the graphics do bring the design to life very nicely it's the design itself that falls short. Everything seems so familiar about the setting, the gameplay(that's been shown), the feel.

I'l...

I'm not sure the word "upgrading" should have been used. This Xbox in terms of online, how it plays software, or it's power don't really change.

"Is purchacing the re-designed Xbox360 worth it if you already have an Xbox 360?" That's more of an appropriate question.

Why does everything need Co-op or Multiplayer?

I understand some peoples need to justify their purchace, but honestly, games have to stand well enough on a single player experience. The best part about the first for me was the feeling that only I and I alone had the ability to change the fate of everything around me. Contextually, it doesn't make sense, and I would worry that the multiplayer would be cut and paste. Leave Sucker Punch to a solo experience. They exc...

I loved Ocarina of Time. To me it's one of the best experiences I have had in gaming. It's just a pleasure to play even today. One of the greats no question.

However, views change. People begin to like different things. JRPG's that would have given 10 out of 10's have been getting 6's and 7's. Sandbox games that should have been given 6' and 7's are now getting 10's. Popularity reflects the tastes of the times. Why should the fact ...

Nomura is a game designer. America was holding it's largest game expo all year. A gathering of some of the greatest minds in the buisness that not only show how they are progressing but also to share ideas and concepts.

He was mostly likely at the expo to see what the West was doing and how he could bring his own ideas to the territory. That's what makes individuals like him and Kojima some of the best in the industry.

He may have just gone to...

This may be true.

Though the man is the father of MGS and has given us many great games I would like to see a new world and some new characters.

I wish for another Zone of the Enders as much as the next gamer, but I also want to see what else this man can give us.

I think that Gabe is still a PC man. Has been and will always be.

The PC is an open platform. Very free to do whatever you want with it really, and I believe that level of control appeals to Gabe. It's what he's used to.

In the past I think Gabe was more hand in handing the Xbox because of how similar the console was to the PC interms of propramming. However, the Xbox and the PC are very different when it comes to politics.
