I feel more comfortable with the idea of handing franchices over to western developers rather than forcing Japanese developers to try to be western for the whole of the games production.
However, when it comes to existing francies like Devil May Cry, that game was well liked before they switched it's production. To me, the game as it stood was fine in it's delivery. It's, I feel, Capcom's own wish to see that francies appeal to more a mass western audien...
If that was the case It would have to be KH: Final Mix and KH 2: Final Mix finally seeing a western release.
Honestly this nasty habit of releasing a Kingdom Hearts, releasing it in the West with added content then re-releasing the game in Japan with that stuff and then some is frustrating.
I would definatly be first in line for a Kingdom Hearts HD collection but only if it included the Final Mix versions of each.
I'm sorry but your science is a little off. Water is a good conductor of electricity becuase of the salts and other ionized things within the water itself. Water in it's purest form is a poor conductor of elctricty because the electricity can not travel that far because there are no ions to carry it.
As things get colder the ionz contract and huddle closer together reducing the the ability for the electricty to travel. In truth frozen water is a better insulator ...
I'm not sure I understand. If the reviewers didn't enjoy the game but you yourself bought it played it and enjoyed it, then why argue? What right does anyone really have to place their opinion above anyone elses?
Reviews are not fact, they are opinion to inform us of the experience we MAY recieve if we purchace the the game. Is it worth the investment of you money and time for the price. Yet everyone takes their opinion as fact, seeing that score as a fact of ...
I would love a new modern MegaMan X game. With some nice challenging gameplay and high quality 2D HD sprites. They could even go direct download from PSN/Xbox Live if that were the case.
However this gentlman does have a creative mind, I wouldn't be upset at any new I.P.
I think Nintendo will focus more on the 3DS which may even be more expencive than the Wii when it lauches.
Nintendo may release and add-on that upscales to HD but I can't see why they would be bothered. The Wii's core audience really seems to have no issue with the games not being in HD. The Wii is still selling well and I think Nintendo is happy with the price point.
It's not that developers say to themselves "We don't want gamers to enjoy the multiplayer while they are in the same room."
Alot of it does have to do with the stress it places on the system when you have to multiply the same screens by 2 or more. Gamers today are stressing 1080p visuals with 60fps gameplay. It would be a challenge to achieve that on the same screen x4 with the level of complexity of some games like Killzone 2 or Uncharted 2.

The first one had it's issues and wasn't as recieved as Silicon would have hoped.
However, I do find it odd that people think that only good games will improve with the advent of a sequil but bad games will not. The series can improve if Silicon Knights will let it. If they are willing to allow the game to change for the better rather than "stay the course" and simply release the next chapter without any tweaks or improvements, I'm possitive they c...
This gentlemans claims have no basis in the realm of fact. There his been no evidence to support that video games are detrimental to the mind of people. Like books, music, or art they do get a phycological response unique to the individual. They provok thought and imagination, the rest depends on the overall common sense and intellegence of the indavidual to recognise the difference between fantasy and reality.
This man himself doesn't seem to know the diffence betwe...
I'm not saying the game can't or shouldn't be done on the Wii. I'm suggesting that drastic control and design changes would have to accure for the Wiimote to accomidate the game. Unfortunatly, that may bring changes to the game that Kingdom Hearts fans may not approve of or enjoy.
The only concern I would have is the fast paced combat style in Kingdom Hearts transfering over to the Wiimote.
Yes you could use the gamepad controller, however, if you can't use the single defining factor of the Wii (the Wiimote) to it's potential then why bother with the Wii at all? That's when executives would move in about sales and costs and comprimise and I'm guessing Nomura would want no part of that.
The only thing this game shares with it's predeccesor is it's name.
Activision is banking on nostalgia to help sell this title when they, I think, fail to realise that it was the great gameplay of the origanal that made it so wonderful.
I don't think Way of the Samurai 3 should go on that list. It's a very niche series that if you don't understand where it's coming from you would pine it off as a very poor hack and slash.
The game was no doubt average in it's application, but you really can't expect much more from such a small studio.
In essence the game "Prey" was more of a Turok game than the game mentioned.
The origanal goal, design, and plot abandoned for a cookie cutter Space Marine setting with underwhelming gameplay. Many things went wrong in that video game.
I'm not sure why they felt they had to change everything about Turok in order to bring us a this particular product.
I'm not sure why we do have to argue that games are art. I guess it stems that if you can call them art then you have to take them seriously. No longer can you push them aside and call them a "simple pass time".
To me it would depend on the games originator. What was he trying to accomplish. Certainly there is always art that is encompassed within the game itself.
Certainly there are movies, books, and images that are not art. I can...
Once their internal studios are finished with current prodjects, I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before we see a Zelda or Mario for the 3DS.
I watched some Multiplayer of the game from E3 and I'm afraid many fears have been realized.
The wonderful gameplay and design of the first has been comprimised by the addition of modern, overused FPS mechanics. In fact, I would go as far as to say that his is simply Call of Duty gameplay dressed up in nostalgia.
Regenerating health, no weapon pick-ups (that I'm aware of) no body armor, 1 hit melee kills, 3 bullet kills...all of these things ju...
That dragonfly. I was half expecting to hear "HEY!...LISTEN!"
I also thought that Mirror's Edge and Assassin's Creed were very enjoyable despite their faults.
They felt fresh and has a certain spark about them that I think more and more games are lacking now a'day.
Not crazy, they went and tried to make him more identifiable with western audiances by giving him the same look as every other bloody western male hero. Short cropped dark hair with more chizzled facial features.
His redesign is completely a localization move. The director/producer walked into the concept artists office and said, "We'd like him to be a bit more western hero-ish." I honestly feel like there is no other possible reason for the switch.
