Than trolling through IGN and PALGN.
Looks great, I love the customization and that it saves all your settings. Really think it's funny no-one else has done it as nice as this. :)
He didn't actually say that they would definitely affect the review score but that would be a possibility as would it influencing a consumers choice to buy it (positively or negatively). I think that's a pretty reasonable statement.
In my opinion, he makes very valid points and it's something I commend EGM doing. More journalists should treat their audiences with the same respect.
Great to see them broadening their offerings this year and looking for new opportunities and markets beyond. :)
Itagaki will win damages and royalties from DOA4 but Tecmo could counter sue. THis could get very ugly before a settlement's reached.
The author is really stretching logic.
Fallout 3 isn't isometric so shouldn't carry the name?
What about Mario, Final Fantasy, Doom, Donkey Kong...
Fallout 3 will be in contention for GotY and will bring a long loved series to the masses. In my eyes that's a win win! :)
LMAO Bubbles for the Chad "Ballin" Warden video!
OT These analysts are calling it way too early in my opinion. We haven't entered any significant price wars yet, BluRay is still damn expensive for mass market consumption and E3 may change the market completely if Sony or MS come out with motion controls that are actually good.
I'm with ukilnme, the more competition the better the games. :)
Personally I love it!
I understand reviewers marking it down for not fixing the problems of the previous versions and not having Black's copius extras but in terms of gameplay this game's about as good as it gets.
The story's crap but damn funny after some beers. The camera is only as bad as before and having played so much of Black and Sigma it's not a problem for me - in fact I kind of think the speed of combat and the sadistic nature of Itagaki mean it's largely o...
The game will be fantastic regardless. And it's unfortunate that MGS4 may well be affected by such controversies.
But I feel that this controversy raises the very legitimate issues of journalists being too close to industry and hence a general lack of transparency with consumers. Long after we've all loved MGS4 for many hours this issue will still be kicking around. Hopefully enough noise will be generated in the future to force journalists and industry to set some good practice ...
I love how they maxed out the weapons and ammo so you can test the full range of moves. Bit of a bugger about the Acolyte only difficulty, but I guess they don't want to scare too many noobs off! lol
It's not a belief exclusive to Christians.
For me atheism is a hell of a lot easier.
Back OT what the hell has Christianity got to do with E3?
It's clear Itagaki has known he was on the move a while back with discontent since Sigma and DOA4. This probably explains his public praise of the 360 as well and his intent to try and get employment at Microsoft.
Good news for Sony fans is that this increases the chances of NG2 eventually coming to PS3, assuming Microsoft didn't pay for exclusivity.
Whoever snaps him up will be very lucky. Despite his outspokenness he is an asset as a rare celebrity developer who ha...
Chrono Trigger should be higher and how'd FFVII isn't there I don't know. And where the hell is Fallout 2!
But whilst not top 5 of all time. Mass Effect and Oblivion are both groundbreaking titles and will influence the genre for many years to come.
Yeah I agree. Just like MGS4 reviews should be heavily weighted towards the focus on story so should NG2 reviews be heavily weighted towards gameplay. In my opinion both games excel at what they set out to do and should be rewarded as such.
Now that'll make me feel bad. lol
It's so much easier to play without a conscience when the bodies just disappear!
I really disagree with that thinking.
I will buy MGS4 and NG2 on day one, but to say that only fans should review said games is ridiculous. I know what I like about these games and I don't need a fan reminding me, what I do need is a critic to tell me what is wrong or changed from previous versions.
I love the veteran difficulty in the COD games. They're one of the few games outside of NG2 that truly challenge me.
I've completed all campaigns on Veteran in the series except for Mile High which after a Battletoads like effort I still couldn't beat. One day I will but the multiplayer's too good to distract me. lol
And THWIP I agree, COD2 was much tougher. :)
I agree dionnysus. And having watched the opening scene I wasn't offended, I actually felt it was a very clever satire of the motivation of virgin-craving matyrs.
Maybe they got GTAIV's Brucie to market it...
"you know because you and I we're different from everybody else, we're genetically different baby!"
Sorry mate but this is a must have. :)
Yeah tell me about it, the European ads are shocking (and weird!).
What they need to do is take a leaf out of Microsoft's marketing book and get the TV ads and product placements rolling. There may be much to dislike about MS but they know how to market blockbusters better than anybody just look at Halo 3, Gears and GTAIV!
