I'll trust Take Two and Microsoft's financial and public statements before I ever trust a dubious article without any sources.

EDIT:

Firstly Rockstar hasn't said anything, the article's completely unfounded and is quite plainly full of "you know what".

Secondly I suggest you have a look at Take Two's statement early today which clearly stated the DLC will be released in Q1 of Fiscal Year 2009.

Microsoft has further confirmed the DLC to be due Fall 2008 which falls within the above time period.

Take Two is one of many game companies that set their own financial years to make their bottom lines look better.

I knew it! People here don't read the articles do they?! :/

And yet so quick to form opinions above and below...

In Take Two's case Q1 2009 begins November 1st 2008 and ends January 31st 2009. It may be confusing but Microsoft and Take Two are in agreement, but they are talking in different languages (chronological as opposed to financial).

Expect to see the DLC leading up to or shortly after Christmas 2008.

The more and more I read about it and watch videos the more it grows on me. Silicon Knights know not how to make a great game with a great story, they also know how to push gaming boundaries (Eternal Darkness) and the more I learn the more I realise this is a book who's cover barely hints at the depth and innovation inside.

It's my surprise hit for the year and I personally can't wait. :)

Completely agree. Maybe Gerstmann had that on his mind when he named his new site "Giant Bomb!".

Interesting app and funny how Nintendo couldn't have done something like this in the first place!

The score was 9/10!

Well not actually. Yeah he payed out Sony, but that's politically motivated. He dissed DMC4, but he's entitled to that opinion. And he payed massive kudos to Rockstar, for their exceptional detail in GTAIV.

Outspoken? Yes. A-hole? I doubt it.

I agree about the network code. Team Fortress is a disgrace online regardless of platform.

But in terms of the single player experience, you'd be mad to actually buy it on PS3 and not the 360 if you had the choice of both. EA's effort is absolutely disgusting and has rightly angered many PS3 owners who got the short end of the stick.

@omegaside

I never mentioned integrity... the word I used was transparency. And as for wool over my eyes well I am "they" so perhaps I pulled it over my own! lol :)

@beavis

See above first ^. Secondly, the NDA has been confirmed to include restrictions on mentioning technical details including cut-scene lengths and episodic installs by numerous outlets including IGN, Eurogamer, MTV Multiplayer and EGM. Also you would do well to take heed of Bub...

It's not about MGS4, it's about Konami.

Konami's NDA's have compromised journalistic transparency and may have unfortunately damaged MGS4s rep beyond the hardcore audience that loves it regardless.

As Sessler says NDA's are common practice to ensure that reviewers don't spoil an experience for a player. What isn't common practice, and in his belief a first, is for a company to ask for technical information to be withheld from the consumer that may influence purchasin...

I don't get the fuss?! The 360's controller is for me the best and most comfortable controller I've ever used. Yes the d-pad sucks, but I never use it! lol :)

I misunderstood then. Bubbles for correcting me! :)

I hope you caught part 1 tintin, it was a very good read.

As for a witty original studio since Bullfrog well Lionhead is about as close as it gets to former glory.

And Bullfrog titles actually sold very well, I think the first major commercial flop was Magic Carpet 2, even though I personally thought it was fantastic! After Peter and co sold it well...

CUE EA HATE HERE...

And Sponge Syndicate was awesome and perhaps my fa...

The dispute over the bonus arrangement regards DOA4, the problem lies in that management has changed since that agreement was reached and Itagaki feels the new management should honour the agreement of the past management. Time will tell, but I suggest it'll be an out of court settlement for Itagaki, that includes a NDA to keep the bugger quiet! :)

I only doubt Guitar Hero and Hulk. Prizefighter might just offer enough to be different to be good and DBZ should please the fans.

All the others are top quality titles that will suck my wallet dry. lol

I believe in freedom of speech and thought more than any religion, so you're entitled to your views and beliefs but you do need a history lesson.

You stated:

"Guy's you can all argue and say what you want but if you don't get it right with God more then likely based on what the bible says (Gods word) your going to hell."

Now I know you'll disagree with me, but if you endeavored to research the founding of the modern bible in which you place you...
