You were making sense until you said "all dead and are very good machines".
All of those were terrible machines:
* Wii was cheap, low-spec trash built around the waggle gimmick, full of shovelware games. It died years before its competition, when casuals grew tired of the gimmick.
* Wii U was a painfully mediocre, low-spec, feature-lacking product built around the gamepad gimmick, with a very small library of mostly mediocre games. It ...
"Best Two JRPG in the past 4 years on consoles. Xenoblade Chronicles X and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE"
Only in the minds of the most diehard Nintendo fans.
What? The Switch is overpriced, even Nintendo admitted that they are making a profit on Day One, obviously by fleecing their loyal customers.
This "game" is nothing more than gimmicky garbage. It's very reminiscent of the many Wii shovelware games that relied on waggle controls to try to excite gamers. The fact that Nintendo is charging $50 for this shovelware title just shows the depth of their greed. For Nintendo, money is all that matters; they really don't care much about their diehard fans at all.
Another lame article from Trollingbolt, in a feeble attempt to tear down the PS4. Best approach is to never click on the link to visit the website, when you do, you're just giving them advertising money to continue trolling.
Also anyone noticed that Rashid Sayed never tries to run damage control in these comment sections anymore? I guess he couldn't handle the deluge of downvotes for his trolling comments, lol.
3rd party sellers only (at inflated prices), Amazon stopped carrying it a while ago. As have all major retailers.
"Slow goodbye"? The 3DS is already effectively dead. Actual consoles are gone from all major retailers (Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Amazon), only being sold (at high prices) by 3rd party sellers on those sites. And almost no games are coming out in the future.
Clearly, Nintendo has already pulled the plug on it, just like they have with the Wii U.
Yep, the whole point of the Switch is that Nintendo won't have to split development of games between home and portable consoles. There aren't going to be any new handhelds from Nintendo besides the Switch. And the 3DS is pretty much dead, Nintendo isn't even restocking it at retailers, and almost no new games are coming out for it in the future.
Excuses, excuses, excuses. And damage control. Always the same from you. Very sad.
The reason that Nintendo still can’t stock 3DS and 3DS XL is really very simple: they're pulling the plug on that platform, hoping that people will buy into the Switch instead. The 3DS is virtually dead, and the Switch is meant to replace it.
Except the image quality and sound of the NES Classic far exceeds the quality of the original NES (or even the Virtual Console versions for the Wii and Wii U), since it has an HDMI output and was well optimized to showcase these old NES games on modern flat screen TVs. Seriously, take off your blinders and open your eyes, it isn't as cut and dried as you stated. The original NES can only output via RF or composite video, both much poorer outputs that look fuzzy and blurry on modern TVs.
Who cares? Zelda isn't all that, most people couldn't care less about it.
Nintendo is too afraid to reveal the detailed specs, because they know that people will laugh at them.
@ fleece - How'd all that work out for the Wii U? It "worked fine" but was so weak in terms of specs and features, it ended up not being able to run current generation games. You should start caring about "GPU and CPU or whatever silly schitt we're talking about today" because, if those components are weak by current generation standards, the games are not going to be on Nintendo's platforms. And without robust 3rd party support, the system will fail. Simple a...
The Switch commercial was lame, they wasted a lot of money by paying to show it during the Super Bowl.
There are less and less of such people as the years go by, not enough to sustain this company.
Why do you always have to make excuses for Nintendo's mediocre products? As a dedicated fan, you should be insisting on better designed gaming hardware from them, otherwise they are simply going to fail. Is that what you want?
Well you might want to start "giving a shit about specs", because if they're mediocre like so many past Nintendo consoles, you're not going to get many games at all. Stop making excuses and demand better products from Nintendo, otherwise you're just hastening their failure.
Yet another lame article from Trollingbolt, the website that hates Sony and is dedicated to tearing them down any chance they get. Best option is to never click on these anti-Sony articles, and never give this website any traffic. They have a hateful agenda to try to tear Sony down at every opportunity, and are a cancer in gaming journalism.
For quite a while now Nintendo has had mostly "downs", due to their stubborn refusal to design and manufacture genuinely competitive, feature-rich gaming hardware. They prefer to deliver the cheapest possible hardware, lacking in even the most basic features and weak in terms of specs, then throw in a gimmick to try to differentiate themselves. Unfortunately that approach hasn't been working for many years, leaving them unable to compete in the gaming industry and community. ...
